Are we supposed to provide the Background from and police certificate? Before getting SA? They didnt ask me to upload anything

Dear all i have a question.

When i log to ecas as PA i get the following

We received your application for permanent residence on December 21, 2016.
Medical results have been received.
We sent you correspondence on January 20, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Whether you are the Sponsor or the PA, it's obvious with that message above that the Sponsor has already been approved and that the PA's app is now being reviewed/processed. Please note that not all receives AOR1, AOR2 or SA. Either not at all or just delayed. In my case, my App has been forwarded to my VO since 13 January and to date I have not yet received AOR2. My ECAS got another line saying they started processing my App on 23 January. MyCIC's Eligibility has been In Progress since 12 January.

We received a message by email from CIC after sending in our application yesterday. Its a request form saying,

***In order to continue processing your application, further information is required. You must complete and submit the following to this office within 30 days of the date of this letter (2017/03/01): 95821163 - Pirita Outi Inka Pritchard: > Passport photos: Passport size photographs (photographs must conform to the specifications outlined in the Guide to Immigrating IMM 3999 and Appendix B Photo Specifications) This must be received at this office by: 2017/03/01***

We included 4 photos originally (2 for the sponsor and 2 for the applicant). We put name, date of birth, date, studio name, studio address (although we did not sign). Our sizes that we did were according to IMM 3901E and were (50 mm x 70 mm (2 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches long) and sized so the height of the face measures between 31 mm and 36 mm (1 1/4 inches and 1 7/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head)

ALTHOUGH Weve read some other posts saying they included 8 total!

1. We cant find the form imm 3999 and appendix b ANYWHERE - can some PLZ provide a link for us for EXACT measurements
2. Could someone please let us know what they may think the issue is? Not enough photos? Wrong sizes? no signature?

If we had imm 3999 appendix b we could know the issue BUT we can cant find anywhere ....

You did not need to include photos for the sponsor, only the PA.

Your country-specific application pack should tell you how many to include. Unfortunately, they do not tell you what the problem was, leaving people guessing.

Hmmmmm.... we just arent sure what the problem is - it says, (give 2 photos for each of the accompanying family members and yourself)

If someone could link up or paste the exact measurements for IMM 3999, that would help.
Does anyone know if they should be signed?

We went to local Walgreens (drug store in the USA) and they just selected Canada Passport photos and it worked fine.

I have sent the required documents to LVO and CPC in December and also submitted my information on myCIC. Status says 'Provided' since then. It's been a month and the status hasn't changed to 'Received' yet. How would I know if I have provided the correct documents, how long does it take usually?

I know it's hard not to worry. I am really just using other info people here have stated. To date I have not received any emails or letters of confirmation for anything. I was able to check ecas and that's where I saw decision made under sponsor and then a couple of days ago under PA it switched to in process.

I am STILL not able to link our app on mycic as o have never received a confirmation of file number or anything. Only way I was able to do ecas was with our receipt number. It's crazy how inconsistent it is that some people get a lot of correspondence and others no. And it makes you worry so much

Depends, it should come within 40 days of application. I received it a week after AOR though.

Same here, uploaded my documents about 2-3 weeks ago and no "Received" status yet - I'm hoping once I get AOR2 this will be completed. My PR application is "In Process" and SA approved already.

My application process also started on Jan 19th and I still havent received any SA yet
