If it says Decision Made under sponsor, then it sounds like you have sponsor approval. Ours never actually changed to that in ECAS, it still says In Process. I know my husband had to call several times before an e-mail finally got sent with the confirmation. We were unable to access ECAS until about a week after we got sponsor approval. On MyCIC we saw changes that made us fairly confident sponsor approval had occurred, but we wanted confirmation.

Thanks for your response :). It's so hard not to worry. I guess both ecas and mycic can be fairly inconsistent. I will try my next 5 attempts for mycic tomorrow.

Am I the only December applicant who can link my application with ECAS but not MyCIC? It's so frustrating I've tried 20 times.....

I can't either. I was able to get into ecas Friday but still not mycic. I have also tried about that many times too

Hey all,
Does the sponsor receive the AOR1 email or does the PA?
Still haven't received any email of AOR on either and now been exactly a month with no communication apart from ecas saying they received my application on December 23rd and MyCIC saying my medical is being reviewed.
It's so hard not to stress when your timelines are getting up there.

As long as your ecas is updated ...you don't need to wait for an email

Some VOs don't send out AORs. I (Principal Applicant) didn't receive my AOR. But don't fret, your app just turned a month. You're supposed to receive the SA this week (27 days max). If no Sponsor Approval email this week, you can give them a call! That's what we did! :)

**PA receives the AOR1 and 2.
**Sponsor receives the SA.

As far as I know, Sponsor receives AOR1 and SA while PA receives AOR2 :-) In my case, I still have not received AOR2 despite my Eligibility on MyCIC has changed to 'In Progress' last 12 Jan. Yep, am aware not everyone gets AOR1 or AOR2 :)

In my case (the sponsor) i didnt recieve any AOR. My PA recieved both AOR and another file that they started processing the file. I find it odd but i dont care as lkng as i have access to ecas and mycic

Thank you all for the clarification!
The waiting game continues.......

My application was received on Dec 21st. They sent me an email regarding a missing document and I overnighted it to them to arrive on Jan 6th. It's been 2 weeks and I've heard nothing. I keep checking mycic but the application status says not started. I hope I haven't been put on the back burner because of the missing document. They haven't even started to look at mine yet. Also haven't been able to link to ECAS.

Anyone else dealing with the same?

Hey xCami
My application was received on 15 Dec. We got our AOR1.... They requested some doc that was missing, and apparently my File is in Mexico City VO
I still have problems to link my application to my cic.... every time I try I got the same message " Application not Found"
Any idea of how to solve this?

Hey guys Does anyone know how many days max for aor1 and sa.
I havent heard anything yet and im getting worried. Thanksss

I remember I read it some where SA is 36 days after AOR1, but I don't have proof. In our case it was 30 days (+- because of holiday).

I called CIC and they said no such thing is 36 days is max. They said 36 days is for "most" case.

Anyone knows where the police cert should be sent to? My wife in Hong Kong and the police will only send the cert to corresponding government office.

Haven't received AOR2 for my husband yet, but on ecas under PR application status it says "We started processing xxxx's (PA) application on January 23, 2017."
I am a Quebec resident (sponsor) and I had sent the CSQ request for my husband to MIDI (a different process for Quebec resident), I was wondering if the VO will process my husbands file even though they haven't received any answer from Quebec???!!!

Hey there!

Actually right after I made that post I was able to link to ECAS the day after. That is also when I received an email stating that they are processing my application.

To link with mycic I followed these instructions posted earlier in the thread. It really helped me out. I made the account for mycic in my husbands name (the principal applicant).

1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2-a. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my husband, no dependents.

Keep trying! Hopefully you are able to link yours soon. If not I would call. As for ECAS, I was able to link using my UCI number and my info (sponsor). Good luck!
