Hi Guys!
As I said this morning I received my AOR1 and linked my application on ECAS. But now I am a little bit confused. I am the sponsor and I received the AOR1 on my email this morning but my husband (PA) received also an email saying that they received his application for permanent resident too. And I also have a letter on my online account asking my husband for his Police records. I haven't received the sponsor approval yet so I don't know what this mean. I'm really confused.

If I check the application status on the CIC (not need to login) page it said:
Sponsorship Application: In Process (received Dec,28th and started processing Jan,18th)
Permanent Residence Application: Application Received (received application for permanent residence on Dec,28th)

I don't get it. I shouldn't get the Sponsor Approval before they start to process the PR? what does this mean?

Please help!!! Thanks!

They require you to upload the new form electronically for Schedule A. They didn't request my Police Certificate because I included it up front but they requested me upload another Schedule A.

Do they want the police certificate uploaded electronically through MyCIC, or do they want a physical copy mailed? I was wondering how they were going to handle that.

They asked for scanned copies of the polices certificates and specify that they will request the physical copy if they need it.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I suspected they might be doing that. I used a channeler for mine back in June, Fieldprint, and they do not provide a physical mailed copy. I received a PDF by e-mail. I was able to print that out to mail with the application. But there was no true "original" to send.

So, is it that the sponsor have to submit a police record? I thought it was just the principal applicant. What happens if the sponsor lives outside of Canada? Also, is the the sponsor that have to submit all the paperwork to CIC?

Finally i can link my application to Mycic. However it only showed medical passed. But at least they have me on the file. However, i cant open ecas but will wait.

Should see something soon, my ecas says application received and mycic account says my application is open and my medical results are in review. But no email whatsoever and almost been a month.
No idea, I guess I continue waiting

Does the file number in the linked application start with X or F? When I initially linked mine, it had a temporary number that started with X, and then the day before I received the AOR e-mail the X dropped from it.

Unless they've changed how they're doing things, it sounds to me like you unofficially have AOR.
