Nope, but I just got a suggestion from another poster to try calling CIC for an update.... after the 15th call or so of them being unable to transfer me to an agent, I'm finally on hold ... let's see what happens half an hour later.

Keep us updated of what happens..i too have the same issue and same time line

I am requested passport photos today.

`Passport photos: Passport size photographs (photographs must conform to the
specifications outlined in the Guide to Immigrating IMM 3999 and Appendix B Photo Specifications)
This must be received at this office by: 2017/01/13

Since I already provided passport photographs following the specifications i don't know what different is to send now? Should I take photos again and send it? Can anybody explain what could be the potential mistake in previously submitted photographs and what to be careful about now?

Hey today i got the exact similar message, they are asking for photographs. I followed all the specifications, signed,mentioned dob, studio stamped with address. As per the requirement i sent 2 photographs with my application.

Could you tell me if you sent the same photograph again or any new one? what was their response ?

Nope, no updates. Agent sounded pretty cheesed I was calling because the application was so early in the process. Nonetheless, what I managed to glean after pressing a bit is that there's been no GCMS notes added to our file, and that the CIC has our e-mail addresses correctly inputted, so I guess it's just a matter of waiting it out :S

And so it continues...

Well The whole immigration process is about waiting and being patience. So i guess we have to wait and be positive hoping to hear back soon from them.

Oh, for the past couple of days, I have been using our receipt number and my husbands info so principal surname and given name and his date of birth and country.

Am I doing that part wrong? Is it the receipt number and then my info as the sponsor?

Well I just tried the ecas one again using the receipt number and both info for sponsor and principal applicant and it says nothing found.

It shouldn't matter since both sponsor and PA info will work for purpose of status checking... or at least I've noticed it does for me (I'm the sponsor)
