Hello December Family,

It's been a while since I've posted anything, however I do check here everyday to see updates. It seems like it's been a few quiet weeks after getting our third lines. I am still waiting for DM from Ottawa, seemed like they slowed down???? I'm hoping we will be updated with DMs soon!

I'm on day 50 for TRV and still no decision made.
I've sent case specific and haven't heard anything from them :'(

LVO update:
2 people from late September have received their DMs. One of them had received COPR and PPR request.
I believe, the spreadsheet is not getting updated.

One had their DM made in December, the second one in April.

Great...so then the 2 DM's are on your spreadsheet which is good.

Just wanted to update everyone: I just contacted my local MP to check on our Visitor Visa and the staff was so great that the voluntarily asked me for the PR case number and will get updates for both. Hopefully, it'll be good news for both. *Fingers crossed* :-\

I just saw someone from November who got DM from Ottawa a few weeks after CIC requested them to send their police clearance. I usually read that there is usually a massive delay in one's applicant if additional documents are requested. Maybe this is a good sign for us December folks! I'm hoping to see DMs for us soon.

I am back in Canada, I hope I can wait my PR here. Is there anyone who knows if I can actually wait for my PR here and if I can send my passport to my VO from Canada when they ask for it?

May I ask what you submitted as proof of your relationship? VOs usually look for evidences showing that the relationship is ongoing so the non submission of the convos may raise a red flag. Some VOs are kind though and may give you a chance to submit additional proof if they find the ones you sent insufficient.

Hello everyone and FM:

Sorry, I wasn't able to update you all on the status yesterday as I've been super busy at work (the only time I log on here).

So here's the scoop:

The MP's office was ultra fast with their response. I sent the email at 11 am and got an email back at 11:59 am. I was out for lunch so couldn't respond back with consent form until 1:30 pm. By 3 pm, the office contacted me back letting me know that the TRV is still under review because Agents are still conducting mandatory background check along with criminal records. I was told to wait for 2 more weeks and if I don't hear anything, they will contact CIC again on my behalf.

Also for the PR, the office told me that, it takes 17 months and have gone through the stage 1 (AOR) and stage 2 (SA) and is now in LVO. So, I should expect to hear something by May 2017 or sooner.

I urge everyone to contact their MP's offices for updates whenever they feel the need. I'm glad I did and so happy with the new MP (especially their staff) for our area. They were very proactive, assertive and emphatic towards my concern.
