VISA OFFICE: ANKARA

My Husband received an e-mail stating he needs to provide some additional information(forms)
IMM 5562 Supplementary Information

They asked him for proof of military service exemption.

I am just wondering anyone that is with VO ANKARA, how long does it take for them to receive requested info?
How should we send it? PTT? special courier?

I am leaving to go to Turkey, to visit my husband today. Very excited:) but a bit upset with this request, since it will somehow delay the processing...

We also received a request for more documents from AVO on March 21. We sent them off using DHL, special courier is best. They received them in 3 business days....... still waiting on further communication from them :'(

Hey! Has your husband landed yet?

Things has slowed down again. I've been obsessively checking ECAS like crazy (I need help lol). Because someone else from Ottawa received DM 5 days after getting their 3rd line, I was hoping this would be the same for the rest of us. I wonder if it slowed down because of Spring Break.

That's a good sign!

Did anyone have to change their address is ecas to a nin canadian address and was successful? I already send two case specific enquiries, called cic and send an email to the vo..still no changes in my ecas. Since my first case specific enquiry it has been 1,5 months :'(

I saw a discrepancy on the system (mailing address side and residence address side...both are supposed to be the same, but a detail was not shown on the mailing side for some reason)

I sent email...no reply.

I ordered 1st set of notes...it showed email was received, officer checked and said there's no issue. However, the mailing address section still did not have this extra crucial detail.

After some time, I highlighted this problem again via case-specifci inquiry. When I ordered notes the 2nd time, this detail was added in GCMS notes information.

BUT...eCas still does not show any changes.

If you really want to know, you should order GCMS notes. It'll tell you.

Given you are December applicant, you would not see much in the notes, but for 5 dollars, it's your only direct source of information about your case. There's no limit to how many times your order them, and it does not affect your case. It does show up in your GCMS notes when you ordered them in the past...just shows you are very anxious and eager.

Anybody knows how long it takes from the date they started reviewing the application? It says they started reviewing our application on March 29. I saw that several November applicants landed already.

Hey,

So I've been looking at November's timeline and based on the Ottawa applicants who fully updated their info there are:

1. 4 applicants that received AOR2/Third Line all on the same day
2. 1 out of the 4 applicants received DM the 1st week of March, where as the other remaining 3 applicants received DM all on the same week (3rd & 4th week).

Based off of these info AVG Days for DM is about 41 Days (Early May).

*********

However if you would like to go by the December's timeline ...
Based off of December's timeline:
There isn't much to go by (2 applicants who got DM). The AVG would be about 23 days (late April).

Just thought I'd share with everyone. If my #s are off, please correct me. It's late for math lol.

Thank you for the answer @cheng9999 did you enter "Individual currently present in canada" in the application for the notes even though you were not? I am just wondering if giving wrong information in this part will have consequences. Thanks you for the information btw! I am just worried that the immigration papers will be sent to my old address...

I applied through Access to Information Act which costs 5 dollars, and that includes people like me who's not currently in Canada...so you should fill in where you are actually living.

If I am living in Canada, I believe I can apply through Privacy Act instead, and it's supposed to be free.

Yes, it doesn't hurt to order notes to make sure everything is fine.

----
Making a correction here...according to CIC website:

Personal information which belongs to an individual who is not a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or currently living in Canada must be requested under the Access to Information Act.

So it means when the notes concern the applicant who is naturally not a PR or living in Canada yet, it must go through this route and not Privacy Act.

No updates from London visa office applicants :'(
