Yeah, unless you call them. My ECAS didn't update for two months and I was almost worried that maybe my application hadn't even made it to Ottawa. Lol
I just waited! Then I received the email requesting a form. I was glad to know it was being worked on. Now I am back to waiting.
Just be patient and it will happen.
OMG :D
the wait is so difficult but don't have any other choice.
i check my ECAS 7-8 times a day and i see the same.i think i should stop checking it for few days

means unless and until they send me an email i have to rely on the ECAS. :)

Some Visa offices will send letters or email to let you know your application is being processed.(AOR2) Ottawa doesn't send those out so it's like blindly waiting. Lol

I agree!! I never even had a third line on my ECAS and my application has been in Ottawa since Dec 16th. It never said that my medical results were received.

Hi DandM! It will take approx 2months before you receive anything from CIC and some visa officer dont even send any. How did you send your application? I sent mine through Canada Post with tracking number so I knew they got it our application the ff day.

I am January 2016 applicant. Cic will send you something we call AoR here... Acknowledgement of recipient... then it will give you SA -Sponsorship approval

AoR takes around 60 days... but some lucky ones get at around 45 days. SA comes around 10 days after AoR.

You can refer to 2015 & 2016 spreadsheets to get the idea.

I'm still wyouaiting for AoR. 10++ days to go.

It can be an email or a letter. So all the best to you and me.

The two month thing is that the earliest applications take about 5 months. Generally one or two people each month will get the 5 month copr. Just a luck of the draw thing. I think from October one person had copr and two have DM.

I check eCas every 1-2 days. Though at this point I feel I won't be hearing anything until early April if I'm extremely lucky, May or June otherwise.

Got it. Thanks. I just got the third line in the PA side yesterday, so I was trying to figure out a time line.
Also my passport expires in June and I'm just trying to figure out the best time to renew it.

Hey guys, the waiting times have changed so much on the cic website, but from what I remember last Dec was at about 18 months for london office all in. After the in process on the PR side of ECAS, what are the next milestones? And do we think we will be in here until June 2017? :'(

You'll still need it to travel even after you get PR, PR doesn't allow you to get a Canadian Passport. So I'd renew.
