So I just got an email from CIC this morning asking to send in my police certificates. I sent in all but my Swiss certificate cause it took a while to obtain it. I'm going to courier it out today. Do you think that this is a good sign if they are requesting this certificate now?

what is your country of citizenship?

Well I'm a German citizen but I've lived in Switzerland most of my life. I am currently in Switzerland.

Here is copy of the email they sent me....

I *think* this means your file is one of the lucky ones that gets pulled for dual processing at mississauga. there are a handful of "non-complicated" cases where both the sponsor and applicant applications are processed together in mississauga. if this is the case, then this means you will have a speedy process. only time will tell... best of luck!

when I sign in, it still doesn't show anything except application received. I sent in my husbands medicals with the application.

Based on some experiences with my friends sponsoring their husbands, Ecas is slow to update and is not always reliable

Thank you Sb414, that makes me feel better.

Still havent received the SA. We applied on Dec 22nd.

I called CIC this morning and they said I should have received it and that they have sent an email to the mississauga office to process it.... :'(

QC Applicants..

I sent my papers to QC with my first letter (as directed by MIDI and CIC via phone), which did not officially indicate sponsorship approval or the intended visa office, but did request my QC Certificate undertaking be submitted. The initial letter indicated Inland was simply an automated message error and did not affect what was in the CIC system.

My credit card has been charged for the payment, and I have now sent my official SA letter (which i received a day later with Visa office indicated) to MIDI just to ensure they have all necessary information.

Hope that helps anybody in the same situation (This was my situation, I don't know if it applies to others)
Quebec Applicants :

I called MIDI yesterday and was told that they received my application. The file is opened and just this morning I saw that my credit card has been charged for the CSQ.

I am yet to get SA. Waiting patiently.

Hi Alcal2014 maybe your one of the lucky ones. If you read the November 2014 thread there is someone by the name of "bapa" that just received COPR/Visa after 4 months. Their spouse was Finnish. They never received SA or AOR2 they just went straight to receiving notification of COPR/VISA.

I hope this is the same situation for you!, best of luck!!

YOU MUST CALL THEM - AT THIS POINT IN TIME YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CALL THEM !!

Hi Tranjini,

I called, they sent a notice to the office. not sure how much that will help. I tried calling again today (4 days later) and can't get through. I'll try again on Monday I suppose...

We just received email notification this afternoon that SA has been granted. We are very excited about this and that the application is being processed in Mississauga. Just sent off the police certificate today so hopefully it will get there early next week. I will keep you updated on what we hear back. In what circumstances they decide to process the application in Mississauga and what is the processing time there?
Our VO is Ankara, Turkey and fortunately for now it's only 10 months.
