Thanks to GOD, I have received my passport back last week with my VISA stamped on it.

I would like to thanks all the members in this forum as it was so useful to share and gain many information which help a lot to pass the processing period.

[ Yes, I share the same sentiments as yours, I still have not received the MR as well. I checked the processing time in the website recently and I saw that processing time has changed from 13 months to 14 months of processing. This could be because of the volume of applications they are processing is very high. I just sent an email to the immigration asking for the status of my application since it has passed the 13 mos leadtime, I got the reply below:


" Please be advised that your application is still in progress. We will advise you in writing of any additional documentary requirements which we may have or of any information or results which we have for you.

In the meantime, your patience is appreciated as we continue processing your application."

And I thought my wait was long since July 2015 MR... have you made case specific inquiries?

I have ordered for Gcms last november and from it i read that the next deadline ought to be on march 6th. Still waiting.

Hi All
I will be landing in Canada by mid May, I have a question regarding Driving License, can someone please share their inputs

1. There are two things IDP(International Driving Permit) and DL - Extract, do I have to get both ?
2. For these things do I have to be physically present at RTO or anyone on my behalf can get it ?
3. Does RTO know of DL-extract and do they provide it in their Letter Head ?

Please advise, and anyother information if you guys can share regarding this, would be benficial
