Yeah, not expected from a police dept of a metro city.
in fact I directly called commissioner's office and was promised of a speedy response.lol.
I didnt bother to check the status after a month.
The consulate here were very friendly. they understood the situation and gave PCC same day.
Submitted my wife's passport at 9AM on the way to office. Collected post lunch at arnd 4PM. Smooth like silk. :)

I think when it comes to matters like these, Blore police is by far the most responsive team I have encountered ever.
May be because being the IT city, they deal with such requests day in day out.
Yes you are right dear....
+1 for your presence of mind and revealing pathetic facts about mumbai police

No VO informs applicants by email when they start processing the application. The update just appears on eCAS. That's it. As for file transfer, aka AOR, some VO's send out an email to notify, some don't. It's also normal. Nothing to worry about, mate.

Thanks Jeanp :) :)

Just saw that your application was received by CIO on the very last day of FSW2014 when many got returned do to cap filled. So you had a great lucky start there. May luck always be with you till the end.

My application will receive on monday 8th Dec.

NOC 2281

Do you think i will make it?????

Your timeline doesn't say whether or not you have received an email from CIC saying that your application is eligible for processing (PER). If yes, you can't do anything but wait. The VO may not send you an AOR but as long as your application is eligible for processing, it will be moved to the selection stage that includes work background check, medical exam, security, criminality... Just wait to hear from them. In the case you just know that your application was received by CIO by your courier service but haven't received the PER from CIO (which means no access to eCAS), that is something you should verify with them asap.

Hi Applicants.
Below is the mail that i got from NDVO recently. Background verification and medical scrutiny must be done. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application.

Fellow applicants is there any time frame that is followed or and average time needed to get these above said formalities completed

This spreadsheet should be able to give you a feel of the average time taken in each stage of the process.

Has any of the Dec 2014 FSW1 applicants received document request or SLU from Singapore Visa Office? It is getting frustrating to wait

That's true......
My previous application from August was rejected and returned in December......I am really hopeful this time.
I have been here in Canada for 7 years already. It's been a long and hard struggle.
Wish you the very best as well.
