Just a photocopy of data pages of your new passport. they will need the actual passport when they have made a decision and wish to grant you VISA. I suggest u start on getting a new passport immediately..

The children's exams will be ending at the begging if July that's why I am pretty concerned about the landing date

Hmm.. then I suggest u complete the landing formalities earlier and come back..make the final move next year

Appointment is tomorrow. Hopefully PCC should be granted along with Police Verification. (This is my biggest fear.... PCC may take time due to change of address)

Yeah, I did not have good exp with PCC at Mumbai. My wife applied at PSK thane for exactly the same address she has on passport.
She waited one month but did not get. By then she had to fly to Germany where I am currently working.
I got her PCC from Indian consulate here in Frankfurt. Same day.

Some advice from seniors much appreciated.

I have completed my + families medicas last week so I'm hoping to get passport requests within a month.

My current passport expires in March 2016, and our aim is to land in Nov 15. I've been advised to renew my passport but not sure whether there is actually a need or requirement to do so.

Your guidance would be much appreciated.

I guess I have replied to you on a different thread. I would strongly advise to get a new passport.
It wont take more than a week if u apply with the same address as the current passport.

Yeah, not expected from a police dept of a metro city.
in fact I directly called commissioner's office and was promised of a speedy response.lol.
I didnt bother to check the status after a month.
The consulate here were very friendly. they understood the situation and gave PCC same day.
Submitted my wife's passport at 9AM on the way to office. Collected post lunch at arnd 4PM. Smooth like silk.

I think when it comes to matters like these, Blore police is by far the most responsive team I have encountered ever.
May be because being the IT city, they deal with such requests day in day out.

Officer on CIC helpline number told me that my file has been transferred to Ottawa on 15th April.
My second line update says that"We have started processing your file on 18th June".
Neither my Consultant nor I have no email or written intimation of either of these updates.
What does that mean?

No VO informs applicants by email when they start processing the application. The update just appears on eCAS. That's it. As for file transfer, aka AOR, some VO's send out an email to notify, some don't. It's also normal. Nothing to worry about, mate.

If the panel didn't inform you of any potential health issue, you should get TLU very soon. One week after medical exam is done is nothing to worry about. I heard it took a few days for the doctor to upload the results to CIC and there will also be a lag before you see TLU. Look at my timeline and cheer yourself up. My application was before yours but it was just transferred to VO. Don't know when to get MR.

TLU will happen this week for sure.
