Hello,

My FSW application with arranged employment was returned. They enclosed a letter explaining the reason it was returned, but its language is contradictory. The letter mentions that if I re-submit, I have to review the document checklist and links to the old FSW form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.PDF

But then the letter also states that I have to check the Express Entry requirements, as there has been changes to FSW eligibility.

Do I have to re-submit my application using the old forms with the corrected information requested? Or do I have to discard my FSW old application, and make a Express Entry profile?

Quotes from the letter:

"We have conducted a review of your application and have determined that your application does not meet the Regulation 10 of IRPA.

The application is being returned to you, because at least one element of the requirements of Regulation 10 of IRPA is/are missing or incomplete...

Please see the highlighted items on enclosed checklist ...for further information concerning why your application failed to meet Regulation 10 of IRPA...

Prior to re-submitting your application we suggest you review the document checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.PDF) to ensure your application is complete and meets the requirements of IRPA Regulation 10.

Important information: Changes to eligibility in the FSW Program

If you submit a new application, please visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada Website at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

for complete information about the new requirements as your current application may not meet the new requirements... The guide contains information on the new instructions and other requirements that must be met before an application can be placed into processing.

Note: Work experience: It is important you provide us documentation supplying evidence to show that within the 10 years before the date on which your application was made, you have accumulated, over a continuos period, at least one year of full time experience, or the equivalent in part time work, in the occupation you identified as your primary occupation, that is listed in skill type 0.... Your letter of employment must clearly give evidence showing that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement and that you have performed a substantial number of main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the NOC, including all the essential duties, for that period of employment. If your letter does not provide us with this information, you will not meet Regulation 10 of IRPA...

In addition, please note that applications will be assessed according to the instructions in place at the time they are received."

Thanks for your help.

2. How much time it will take to get a request for PCC and medical from visa office
3. When I can see 2nd line update in my ECAS

Will appreciate if someone can answer my queries ... :-*

The last statement in CICs mail should answer ur question. As far as CIC is concerned they have moved to EE for all apps received from 1st jan'15

"In addition, please note that applications will be assessed according to the instructions in place at the time they are received."

Colombo VO is one of the fastest. My file is transferred but I haven't recd aor yet
Avg processing times for this VO per spreadsheet are:
PER to MR & PCC request- 48 days
MR to Passport request - 77 days

So start arranging ur PCC if not done. Good luck

Thank you, mate!

Acknowledgement email is same as AOR or it's different.

How you came to know that your visa office is Colombo?

AOR is acknowledgement of receipt the same mail which u have referred
I called CIC yesterday and was told that my file has been transferred to Colombo

Hi Friends,

I am a Dec 5th applicant, got my PER on 23-FEB-2015. To ease my curiosity, I called CIC today and came to know that my file is transferred to Colombo, I did not receive my AOR/Acknowledgement email though.

Hope they will move the files faster than other VOs. Can someone shed some light on how background checks work with foriegn VOs.
1. I don't want my current employer(especially my immediate bosses) to know about my application, will background check involve email/phonecalls/personal visits and meetings with immediate reporting managers.
2. Does Colombo VO depends on NDVO for background checks or works independently.
3. At the stage of Passport request, how/where one have to send the passports.

Best of luck to all forumites!

Hello guys,

I´m waiting my PER and I´m already nervous

My apps: Dec 22nd and CC: Feb, 20th

Any suggestion, please? :( :'(

Thanks,
just hang in there your PER will arrive very soon. You call also call CIC to know status of your application

Dear all,

I hope the best for all the members,

I have a question regarding my application,
My NOC 2145,
application received 4-Dec-14
CC charged 26-Jan-15
PER email 23-Feb-15

Today I called CIC to check the status of my application. In my application,I chose Cairo Visa office as my local visa office, but the service center agent told me that my processing visa office is Ottawa visa office.

I want to know if any one has any experience why this change happened?, and does Ottawa office take long time in processing?

I wish one could share his experience.

Hi,

any update on NOC 2172, any rejections due to quota getting filled? I applied on 29 Dec, nothing as of now.
