Hi everyone,
Just wanted to know if there is a difference between an UCI number and an application number ? If so, which one of them is more useful than the other and why?

According to page on CIC website. Client ID and Immigration File Number is defined as:

Client ID Number

You will find this number on official documents issued to you from a Citizenship and Immigration Canada office, Case Processing Centre or visa office where you submitted your application. Your "Client ID Number" has four numbers, a dash (-), and four more numbers. (Example: 0000-0000).

Immigration File Number

You will find this number on any official document issued to you from the visa office where you submitted your application. Your "Immigration File Number" starts with the letter "E", and is followed by nine numbers. (Example: E000000000).

Hello all
My application was returned and the reason given was :
You did not provide us with an ECA report

However the reason I did not provide this was because i have post secondary Canadian education and provided the relevant certificate to show this. How should I deal with this? Should I call CIC or email ?

Not panicking yet.

Any help is welcome.

Hey Mate,
I would suggest sending it straight back with a cover letter explaining what happened and that it was human error on their part.
My application came back because the officer failed to see my Celpip score. I sent it back and they carried on reviewing and I received PER this week.

It's normal by next week u should hav the golden mail. I got per the next day of ECAS going live

They are just reference numbers for any communication from CIC or local VO to and fro from the applicant ..

Even though the agent said my application was complete and accepted and I have the UCI number
I am unable to see my status.

How to check???

Maybe the info I submit is not correct!!!

My UCI is xxxx xxxx
There is no alphabet before-----is it correct?

Seems like I have been waiting for ever. NOC 0121

I think all applicants from the last week of December will need to wait a couple of weeks as CIC must be dealing with the year end rush.

Hi friends! Newbie here from the philippines. just want to seek help to all of you to get info and ease my worries. Application received was on dec 1. No news till then. My
Immigration consultant is also worried that as per her checking,2000+ app was received by cic for NOC0113.
Contrary to the posts ive been seeing. Im just worried that our app did not make it to the cap. Also,ive been seeing post that they have received their PER past my app date. Hope you can enlighten me. Thanks in advance

Our NOC was not capped as at December 23, we have seen people from the same NOC being charge up till 23. I hope your application is error free. You can also call CIC on Monday. +16139444000 and listen to voice prompt

DD encashed as per bank - 20th Feb

I think we nred to wait another week
coz last 3 days they rcvd a lot of files, specifically last day that's 31st, so hopefully in a weeks time we should c ppl with 31st submissions, getting charged.
mine is also 31st noc 0121

As per my knowledge some of the application from 29th Dec got returned due to cap filled...for 0112
but u can call cic for more information.

My app reached CIC on Dec 24th and CC charged on Feb 25. ECAS not alive yet.

Any sugestion?!

My application reached 23 DEC and cc charged 19 FEB.

I haven't called to get my UCI number, just waiting for PER.
