Another good news to share.

Just now called the CIC and one nice lady she picked up the phone and after asking only my surname and date of birth and given name, she immediately provided me my UCI number and told me that it is confidential information therefore keep it safe for future checking of your application's online status. Was impressed with such a polite attitude of the a call centre attendent.

Anyhow just opened the ECAS and trying to login but getting the message that we couldn't find any record and try to verify that information you provided is corret.

Will call again to call centre agent and after providing my UCI number i shall ask my application status.

Regards,George,
Doha,Qatar

So happy for you, George!
Beat it!

Really happy for you George, wishing you all the best.. You really deserve it after all you support to us all..
Hopefully 29 december applicants will hear good news soon as well, still waiting for dd encashing..

Hello George, please can you share the CIC phone

Dial CIC (+16139444000).
*Navigate through IVR (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1).
*IVR will ask your application id. Don't wait for it to ask for 3 times before it routes you forward, just press # and it will instantly ask for your year of birth in 'YYYY'. Put the year of your birth.
*IVR will tell you the waiting period before your call can be answered by an agent. Or if the call traffic is too high, it will ask you to call again later.
*As soon as you get to the agent, just ask for the UCI#. They do not have any status information for FSW applications. Agent will ask for your last name, first name and date of birth. After some seconds, you will have your UCI#, if they have started processing your app.
If you get quick with the IVR, you can reach the waiting period (point# 5 above) within 2 minutes otherwise it may take around 6 to 7 mins before you are asked to wait for an agent.

Dear george, can you please advise when can 29 dec aoplicants expect encashing their DD?
Thanks a million..

Call them and bring us good News! Praying for you! :-*

I called them twice now and the call ends after option 3 saying that they are experiencing heavy call rush

Hello guys

Finally I managed to get the UCI from a kind agent. But when I input it in the ECAS the answer is :
We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons: .......

I changed my browser to and checked all input information again, the same page showed up

I am 17th December applicant Noc 2234 , and Not sure if I am charged or not since I applied with the credit card of lawyer and he is not able as has 3 applicants on the same date.

What does it mean ? Does it mean I am rejected ?

You will need to wait from 3 to 5 days to get your UCI# active online. Until then, sit tight and wait.

Approximately between 25th Feb and 5th March. Of course DD encashment totally depends on how fast CIO sent DD by to bank for encashment, what is the procedure of receipt of DD at bank at whose counter the DD is to be presented, and how fast the amount is transferred by the internal banking procedures of issuing bank, and reimbursing bank, to the account of Receiver General for Canada. And how long does it take for CIO to know about it. Therefore there is a bit of uncertainity involved in knowing exact date of encashment. But rest assured that DD is gauranteed to be encashed, if it's expiry date is not short.

It usually means that "Completeness check" is not done yet. OR completeness check is in process.

Thank you George..
just one more question, let us say that the issuing bank was closed when they decide to encash the dd, does that affect the encashing?
Really sorry i might sound silly but have no clue how banks function and we are having a big snow storm starting today and everything is closed including all banks for a few days..
