Assuming no news by then, you could call CIC and ask for status of your case.
Thats all.. no point posting expressing worrying here, or worrying at all since you cant do anything about the situation, why worry?
Thanks alot for your reply

Hi Seniors

NOC - 2172
Application Received Date - December 15, 2014
Application Status - Rejected

I just now called up CIC to ask for my app status.. they said it has been reviewed and returned bck today .. reason being some documents missing... I have attached all the required and mandatory documents?? My HR didnot issue me a letter with Roles and Responsibilities.. bt she gave employment letter stating Designation, DOJ, Hrs wrked per week etc... For JOb Duties, I presented a letter from manager along with his Business Card and from a colleague...

What can be there which is missing?? and what can be their expectations?? Any suggestions or idea?? And further what can be done with it?

Sorry to hear this mate!
It is scary, as I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I hear in those forums of someone whose app was returned, most of them unjustly.

I think I saw some post of one of those, whose stated reason was missing ECA report, but he claimed it was attached in it, and the guy wrote that after speaking to CIC, they agreed to accept the application again, and review it once more.
I don't remember who it was, only that it was on one of the December threads, or the thread dedicated to 217X applicants. (EDIT: I think in the 217X thread, it wasnt a Dec applicant).

It may well be that for some reason, the office was not satisfied with the proof of work experience.. could it be that the wording of the Job Duties didn't match 80% of the 2172 NOC? I have already seen someone who has received his application back because of this reason.

Whatever action you choose to follow once you receive the application, please update us with the actual reject reason they stated, and results of any "negotiations" with CIC you would do, assuming the document is there attached.

Congrats! Please update spreadsheet as well, your signature and... post in wrong thread? :P

Friends...someone told me that the number in bottom right corner of the Generic form (after validation) is your application number. Can someone who has got app number from CIC confirm if this is correct?

I am also not sure of the exact reason... will have to wait until my file is returned bck.. My job duties were as follows for 2172 NOC:
 Interact with Client to identify, understand and document existing application requirements which best suits and fits for the development process.
 Design, implement and test the data models related to the functional testing, security testing, and testing related to data sources.
 Involved in writing SQL database queries that are comprehensive accurate and repeatable to test all type of scenarios & data model as well as to fetch results to conduct data analysis.
 Collect and Analyze raw data, draw conclusions, develop recommendations & upload data by performing data mining to maintain the client Database system.
 Perform data modelling activities to assist clients in their data warehousing and reporting needs.
 Recommend database management tools based on project requirements and help in their implementation.
 Develop project's database architectures based on technical and functional requirements of business application.
 Possess and implement knowledge of Stored Functions, Procedures and Database Triggers.
 Co-ordinate and co-operate with other team members, team lead and Database Administrator during the design, development and testing phase.
 Provide End-user Training and work on documentation for customer reporting purposes.

Dont think it should not be considerable... I think these are completely valid.. Not sure what the reason of rejection can be n what can be missed.

I think you are right, those look good in a quick comparison to the NOC.
Furthermore, as I understand you havent been charged yet - just did not pass Completeness Check, right?
This means that they have not looked this deep into your letters, just checked that no document is missing.

Perhaps you supplied a copy of a document instead of an original? IELTS? ECA? forgot to attach copy of degree certificate, transcripts? original notary translation of birth certificate?
Forgot to sign some vital forms?

I think best is to wait for the embassy to ask those of you, but perhaps there are different recommendations for India.

Congratulations!!!.... don't worry about your PCC. at the MR stage they will also ask you to submit your PCC and where you will be given for enough time to get it..

take it easy.. most of the applicants submit PCC at second stage of the process because of its validity issues.

What stage did you submit your Police clearance certificate? Should I apply for one now Is it the right time to start the process?
