my stupidity of putting the credit card expiry incorrect.
I had applied on 12 Dec. Got it back today. :'(

As you have mentioned your application reached CIC on 12 Dec. and they checked it probably in January till 15th and return your application to you. And you got it back in your hands in Feb.
Where as CIC started viewing Dec. application in feb. Somebody explain to me how this happened so quick in this case. I mean how?

Hi dlasantha,
Please try to call CIC and they shall be able to tell you the status.
I had called them last week of Jan and they asked me to call Feb End.
I tried again yesterday and they told me as my application was received on 17th Dec they can provide an update only after 10 weeks that will be post 25th Feb as per them.
My friends application was received on 10th Dec and they said he can get update post 18th Feb that means you should qualify to get an update now.
Please feel free to call them, its possible in first time you may not get the details, if someone deny to provide detail thank them and disconnect dont argue as they wont be able to do anything.
Instead callback in 10 mins and hope you get connected to someone else.

I would recommend best calling time is between 8-10 IST.

You can call them. They just need your last name, first name , DOB. Be polite with them and dont force them to give information. Best of luck.

Completeness checks for Dec applications started much earlier, not in February. I also know one guy who sent his application in early Dec and he received it back a week ago, as it had been rejected.

I called CiC and the lady pickup the phone she was very friendly, I didn't asked for UCI # I told her that i want to know the status of my application which I sent on 3rd dec, she said can you give me your application # which I don't have. So I said I don't have any number thats why i called you to get that number too and the status of my app kindly check it through my information, she then asked me my last name, first name, dob, app sent from, email address.

She then told me that I have also applied for EE, which i did and then she said let me check your status for fswp she put me on hold after returning from hold status she said December application are haven't opened yet, so I cannot provide you your application number then i asked her about the expected time on which ill get my AOR, she said its usually take 3 months but i can't give you any words on that.

Atleast I am sure now that my application haven't sent back and we are in the cap.

I have applied under FSW (NOC2172) and my application received by CIC on 5th December and my CC charged on 28th Jan 2015, waiting for PER email.

From above post, I understood that you applied for PR via both FSW and Express Entry channels. I just want to get clarity if it is legal and accepted by CIC if a candidate applies for PR in two channels at the same time.
1. While registering for Express Entry online, will it ask the applicant if he had already applied under FSW? My consultant was telling me that we can apply for EE only if FSW application is rejected and we need to mention details of rejection while applying for EE online. Any truth in this?
2. If we can apply for Express Entry also while an application through FSW scheme is in process, will it create any problems?
3. Can we apply under different NOCs in FSW and EE?
4. Do we have to show proof of funds for Express Entry also? Can we show the same funds that we might have shown for FSW application?

By the way, did someone whose applications recieved by CIC around 5th December receive PER email by now?

Sounds like your FSW application is 99% through.
I would advice against filling an EE profile at this point in time for you.
My understanding is that there is no harm in EE profile, at least until your CC is charged, but after getting a PER - I'd remove myself from EE if I were you.

To your other questions, I think hat until you have a UCI number, you should treat it as if you don't have a previous immigration application (and you cant answer yes, without providing a number).

Anyone have any idea whats the last charge for NOC 1212? My app was received on Dec18th, payment mode is DD so wondering how long I should wait to get charged.

SOmebody under NOC1212 got cc charged FEb. 9 and application received Dec 17.
