I think that certainly CIC will have problem. Because CIC is not an online merchant. Re-verify with bank who issued you this debit card.

Thanks for your response. Should I send an email to CIO Sydney to confirm if they will reject my payment and send a bank draft immediately before they officially reject me?

Or that would be counterproductive as I would be red-flagging my application and giving them a reason to automatically discard it even before they try to process payment? Thanks for your insight, I feel so anxious now.

Hello,

My FSW application was received on December 30th. I'm currently working in Canada on a work visa.

For fee payment, I completed the CC form, and I included my debit card number on the form. Would CIC have problems to withdraw the money because it's debit and not a credit card?

I've used that debit card to pay for things on the Internet as if it were a credit card and I haven't had issues yet.

Please do not send an email to CIC. Hopefully you will be charged with your debit card. I hope you filled the details correctly. My friend submitted the debit card details for FSW 2013 and he got charge. He got his Visa in December 2014.

I know they specified in the FEE payment form to use a credit card. The difference between a credit and a debit card are insignificant.

Where I come form no bank will give a monetary credit facility. They prefer you to have money in the card account. Also do not be afraid what currency is in your card. As long as its a VISA, MasterCard, American express card and the money is equivalent to the amount required by CIC, they will charged the account.

hi applied for Noc code 4214 in december 2014,my application was recieved on 30 December 2014 in afternoon,but still no confirmation till date.......what should i do ......should i wait or apply in express entry 2015..........

will they send back my documents............

Hi Ashu, your application reached well within the deadline for FSW2014 so there is absolutely nothing to worry about. It is just that CIC has not reached to end-Dec applications yet. I am myself Dec 12 applicant waiting for my DD to be encashed. So no worries on that part. Applying under EE as well however is your own choice, you may go for it, there is no harm in doing that simultaneously. But you should expect movement on your 30-Dec application somewhere around 1st week of April. BTW, quite a few applications have reached CIC on 31 Dec 2014, so you are not the last one, there are applications behind yours as well

It seems that since first draw has already been done by CIC, and they have been running a big campaign that they try to finish the process of PR visa for all those who are issued ITA within a period of six months or even less. Therefore it seems that this commitment will of "Six months or less for express entry selected candidates" will be fulfilled at the cost of "delay in processing of FSWP 2014 applications". I hope and pray that my assumption would be wrong and it wouldn't be the case. But we are not hearing any news of charging for 11th Dec and onwards applicants which was supposed to be heard today. But again let us be optimistic and hope for good.
