I still waiting for Oath Letter, but it is a matter of time.

I received a request today they need to provide
- a translation and a colored copy of my passport pages
- a rental agreement or mortgage documents
- tax assessment for claimed year of residency

I passed my test in OCT 13/2015
At Niagara Falls office.

Hi There -

I am a pre test RQ recipient and git my test letter this week. I have been asked to come for a test at Scarborough office on Tuesday 26 January 2016.

My timelines are:

Applied : Dec 2014
AOR: Feb 2015
RQ Received: Mar 2015
Test Invite: Jan 2016


My RQ was due to excessive travel (31 trips outside Canada)and not having all travel records available.

Is there anyone with similar situation and timelines? Can someone advice on the time for Oath after Test at Scarborough location.

I am going to attend the OATH Ceremony today at Edmonton. My test was on Nov 5th.

Does anyone know if I would be able to apply for the passport today because passport office is located at the same place (Canada Place in Edmonton). I am traveling outside Canada on this coming weekend so I have to manage my passport before Friday. Any information will be highly appreciated.

Your information will not be available in the system until 48 hours, so you can only apply for a passport on Jan 14th. There are 2 fast processing options - Express and Urgent. They don't usually entertain urgent unless you can show them a ticket for the next day. The charges are higher but f they agree for Urgent, you get the passport next day. For Express at least 2 days. I took my oath on June 9th, was able to apply only on June 11th. They decline Urgent to me, allowed Express. I got my passport on 15th (13th and 14th were weekends).

I successfully passed my test this morning, everything was ok. They said the oath ceremony will be most likely in late March. I live in Kelowna, BC. There is no CIC local offices here, so an itinerant CIC team will come again for the ceremony.
