December 2014 citizenship applicants!

How much fee did you guys paid for the Grant of citizenship. I applied of Dec 31, 2014 and paid $400. I have been told it is suppose to be $630? Does that mean my application will be returned or is there any way I can make the difference pay? ???

If your application reached on or after 1st January 2015, then expect the application to be returned to you. You have to pay additional $230 and resubmit.

Just to confirm, you have applied on 29th December 2014 and the application reached CIC Sydney on 4th January 2015 and they sent you a Residence Questionnaire on 9th January?
If yes, it seems to be that your application was processed so fast(within 5 days)

In my opnion it is not possible to get RQ in one week after receiving application.

superadel, first of, good luck for this situation i know it's not really usual to receive an rq few days after the application is submitted..did you received it by mail or email? did cic assigned a file number to your application?

The table below shows the processing time from receipt of application to finalization for 80 percent of cases processed between October 1, 2013 and September 30, 2014:

Routine citizenship applications: 24 months

Non-routine citizenship applications: 36 months

Will it take 2 years for this

My Family's application that was recvd at CPC Sydney in second week of Dec 2014 has been returned :'( today with a request for Langugage proof and additional Fees. We had attached IELTS Academic (my mistake).
Plan to send it back to CPC this wk.

There is nothing you can do now so prepare documents and respond within time frame shown in the letter.
If you have a copy of your application (I'm sure you do) please check for any dates mismatching or contradicting / overlapping each other on residency calculator or/and application. It is apparent from the quick RQ that some thing was unconvinced at first sight.
Don't take this as an expert opinion as there may be other reasons too..
What form # (RQ) did you get ?
