*** DECEMBER 2014 APPLICATIONS ***

Hey guys, I sent my application on Nov 29th, delivered to CIO, sydney on Dec 3rd, 2014.

I just realized that the generic application form ( IMM 0008 ) was updated on Nov 22, 2014. I had printed the form a few days prior to the update, signed the form on Nov 25, and sent it on Nov 29. I didn't realize that the form had been updated . I ended up sending the older version of the form?

What should I do now? Please advise. Do they normally return the application in such cases?

I have emailed the CIO and anxiously waiting for their reply.

I sent the old form too! I dont think it would be an issue as there is just one change(Visa Office is taken off from the new one)!

I had also almost finalized the form when someone told me that its updated. I won't be surprised if they return the application, as they must be looking for excuses to return applications. Why else would they update that point now when it was irrelevant long back. I suggest that keep form in new version ready. Let us know once they respond & keep that response as evidence for future.

There is nothing changed on the Nov form related to applicant's personal information. They just have taken out the office requested question.
They look for reasons to return application but I dont think its gonna be that big issue which would force them to return your application unless there was personal information related questions changed but thats not the case.

My forms were signed and dated on 20th but i sent on 27th.

I m sending my application between 20th dec to 24th dec.

I think you are safe because you signed the application before the update took place.

The last update of the " no.of applications received " on CIC website was 26th November 2014. When is the next likely update , bcoz Iam keeping my fingers crossed now ,as I have yet to send the application.
