It's always good news to hear from Ottawa!! Just makes me wonder why they always seem to ask for a scan of the CSQ when Micc is supposed to send the VO a copy of it. I had sent a scan of mine as soon as I received it in January and it shows received in my notes. Let's see if they ask me for it again.

What's a CSQ?

CSQ means Certificat de sélection du Québec. It is required from applicants who plan to live in Quebec.

Neither good nor bad news (I hope): we received a request for additional documents from Ottawa. Guess in our stress to provide all the necessary documentation for everything else, we forgot to provide proof that my husband actually lives in Ontario! Oops!

I believe this means they've at least opened our file

Here's the email, if it's helpful for others:

Dear [MY NAME]:

This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa for further review.

Case Status:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· XXXXXXX - [HUSBAND'S NAME]:
· SPR’s residency: Evidence that your sponsor resides in Canada. This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, banking history, employment letters, lease agreements, etc. Driver’s licences, property tax assessments, social insurance or health insurance cards are not sufficient to show intent to return.

This must be received at this office by: 2014/07/21

Nice! When did you get this email craw? Looks like there are some rumblings from Ottawa Someone else needs to catch up to Millertimz. he can't just leave everyone in the dust!

I got this email yesterday morning. There have been no changes to ECAS though. I was hoping they might switch me to "in process." But so far no movement.

Question regarding the "your travel" part of the application,

I have done a fair bit of traveling since the application went in, should i send office in London an updated for to keep myself right or just leave it at this stage of the process?

I am thrilled it seems that December applications are starting to be processed now in Ottawa and very happy that people in our group are hearing things.

However, I will not deny being insanely jealous that you now know, at the very least, your application is on someone's desk!

Just my thoughts, but I wouldn't send anything in unless they ask for it. They have to know that people have lives while waiting for their application to be processed. I would only send something in if I thought that it would strengthen my application or maybe I forgot to submit it initially.

I know what you mean Maple. Sometimes I wonder if I will be that person that's waiting for a year Hopefully none of us will be, but it's definitely great to see SOMETHING going on.

well that is kind of the reason i asked, one of those trips was a honeymoon and a few more trips over to canada to spend time with my wifes family so i thought it might be of benifit as evidence toward our application
