When she emails you, does this come from a direct email or generic email? I think you're pretty lucky if you can quickly contact your officer directly actually! At least you would be more at peace in the even you have to send extra things.

It's just from their Sydney.immigration@ address. I'm glad for any communication, much rather that than complete silence haha

Patience, I know exactly what you mean. I have to stop. It's making me really depressed at how long it seems before the hubby gets here.... :(

Haha, same here. I started reading some days ago the thread with refused applications. Bad idea. I'm paranoid now.

Tell me about it! I just went back to school for my PhD and I recently saw a thread where a student supposedly was approved as a sponsor but her husband's application was refused later because the VO said she didn't meet the financial requirements (regardless of the no minimum income part). After some research I found that I'm above the Canadian guidelines for income for a certain number of dependents, so it shouldn't be an issue. But man... that was extra stress I didn't need!

Haha. Hope the waiting game doesn't drive us crazy first.

Hello December Members:

I haven't been on in awhile as this process is super stressful. Despite the CIC website saying that a decision has been made on my Sponsor and a letter sent out on January 9th, I am still waiting! It's hard to ready the quick success of others having received their approvals right away. My case file was received on Dec.5th and now almost two months later nothing! So frustrating. Is this happening to anyone else?

Is there any other way to find out if my husband was approved other than waiting on a letter? Also, I assume the approval/denial letter was sent to him and not me right?

Would love some reassurance.

I would call them to find out the status of your application. It shouldn't take this long as my application was received the same day as yours.

Let us know what they say. Good luck.

Hi Oceantains! You only get that option after posting in this forum a minimum amount of times. I think after you post 10 things or so you get the option to create a forum profile.

I see. Thanks MapleLeafBride!

Congrats.

Until you get this SA it is was valuable, now we feel these are very common thing. Now the valuable thing is Immigration visa, when we will get it then, oh it is very common thing, every spouse get it.

Human psychology !

Sis, is it your PR that's in process?

Today was my first trip to visit my husband in the US since the SA. After I told the American border guard I was visiting my American husband, he asked when the hubby was moving to Canada. Normally they ask when I am planning on moving down there and I have to correct them, or they flat out ask what the plans are. Is it just a lucky guess on his part or would the US have access to that sort of information?
