It likely won't be updated until a few days after SA - I got the update maybe 5days after SA.

finallyyyy today my husband received the letter that they approved his sponsorship =D
its such a relief ;D

Horizonyeah, yeah! Congrats! It looks like your app got to them the day before mine did so maybe I'll hear from them soon too. Cheers to everyone who got their SA! :D

Question- when could one in our situation expect to be able to work in Canada? I know the timeline will vary case by case, I'm just wondering about what kind of time frame to expect once everything is approved in stage 2 to the time I can expect to pony up and pay some real taxes. Once we are PRs then that's it, right? My partner thinks I will need a work permit too. He was worried I didn't know about it. I understood that upon gaining the status of PR that we could work and go to school freely. Please say I'm right... Perhaps there is a secret handshake we don't know about yet... or an initiation... I suppose that will be up to our Canadian family members. ;)

Thanks =D you should definitely hear from them soon by your timeline

I remember i read somewhere in the forum that once you are PR you can work and everything without any special permit just like any canadian, (one thing you cant do is vote in elections and i think thats it) you do must get your card with your number (SIN i think its called) and the health card and those things once you land =)
