I was thinking the same thing. Mine was 5 days after receiving SA from CP-M to Ottawa Visa Office. Unless they sent the application express delivery which then could be possible.

I got My SA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Just now i receive email :)

Dear XXXXX
This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on
behalf of XXXXX
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.

Congrats. One good news today.

Hello December Members:

I haven't been on in awhile as this process is super stressful. Despite the CIC website saying that a decision has been made on my Sponsor and a letter sent out on January 9th, I am still waiting! It's hard to ready the quick success of others having received their approvals right away. My case file was received on Dec.5th and now almost two months later nothing! So frustrating. Is this happening to anyone else?

Is there any other way to find out if my husband was approved other than waiting on a letter? Also, I assume the approval/denial letter was sent to him and not me right?

Would love some reassurance.

Why not it can reach to Singapore so fast ?

These kind of papers go to Singapore High commission by Diplomatic bags. Diplomatic bags reach Singapore very fast.

I dont think CPC-M sends any actual physical papers. Everything is scanned and stored online for VO officers to access, persumably on some online drive they share among all the visa offices abroad. Just my guess..

Then why would they ask for originals? hmm....

Hii :) Since they've passed your date - I would say it wouldn't hurt to give the CIC call center a call and find out what's going on.

You can also send an email inquiring and letting them know that you haven't received anything to date.

Same happened to me, call Call-centre today and they will let you know if your are approved for sponsorship or not and then ask them to resend the email. You will not be satisfied with their answer, so also fillup a email form available in the CIC website. Or send an email at question@cic.gc.ca. They will definitely act on that within 3 days as they can not avoid the email. I did that and they resend me SA pasting on my email as reply.

Rogerset,

Have you noticed that after issuing visa or refusal VO returned all the documents to the Applicants. So it means VO get the PR application physically.

Shaw

Shaw - you are right. I take back my words then. Then in fact, it is the physical file which is sent to the VO along with the originals (wifey also asked the same question).

At this rate, i think we can take up a job at the local VO abroad...we know more about this process than these CIC call center jokers do

Rogerset,

I totally agree with you that these CIC call center people are jokers.

But we are not suitable for those positions. Our Minister for Citizenship and Immigration posted all lazy, deaf and dumb people there.

When you log into ECas, you click on your right side, Permanent Resident Application and you should see it there
