If you sent the application with a tracking number then you would know it was delivered to Mississauga. However, that doesn't mean they started processing it. Once they open and start processing the application they will send you a letter/email of AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt).

Oh ok, do u know how long after they start proccessing it once theyve recieved it ?

I think it depends. Some are receiving AOR after a week, 2weeks, a month or so..;-)

file sent via canada post xpresspost to mississauga office on dec 4th 2013 for next day shipping. Canada Post cannot track package but was in Mississauga sorting facility on Dec 6th.This is the last status update. This is a nightmare because I cannot say 100% that the package was delivered. I'll have to wait till CIC is processing applications around my time then check with them if they have it.

visa office is Ottawa

My case will be complicated I'm guessing because there is also a pending rehabilitation application

Okay, so I'm not the only one with tracking issues from Canada Post. It says it went out for delivery yesterday at 10 am but I haven't had any further updates. I would assume it's delivered, but who knows what's going on with Canada Post these days. I hope yours was delivered and it's a glitch in their system!!

Yeah, if I only knew before hand, I would have just paid extra to go with a courrier. Nothing beats peace of mind. It didn't help that police checks expired this week, so i was freaking out with Canada Post.

But in reality, it's really out of my hands and I'm hoping for the best.

I am still waiting for my marriage certificate & my husband's tax information, but my medical was done back in November. I am hoping to send my application in by the end of this month. I'm nervous like everyone else, hoping everything is done correctly with everything I need in there! I am looking for stay with my husband in Canada for months at a time by end of summer, leaving my life behind in NJ! Been traveling back and forth for 2 years now, and it's so hard, just want to be with him and start my life. Good luck everyone!

"this confirms that your application to Sponsor a member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2013/12/10" -this is the email that my husband received from the CIC, not really sure tho if this is the AOR.. it indicates our application no. and our UCI. He just received the email yesterday.

Congrats. The AOR was rather quick for you. Do you know the date Mississauga received your application?
