Congrats! You can check your ECAS to know when they did received your application.

We didn't have any problems so far, my husband has just been approved to sponsor today and our application was sent to the VO. From my understanding, there have been cases where the intent or return to Canada has been scrutinized by the VO, in second stage of the process - concerning the immigrant.

I would include anything you can conjure before you apply. Print those job postings, maybe your browser history too. It can't hurt.

Thanks so much, I printed off various examples of the type of employment I'm seeking, and in the general area where we are heading back to (knock on wood).

I'm a sports admin major - I was thinking about printing off a copy of my degree and an up-to-date resume - perhaps showing that I am indeed thinking about the process of applying for / seeking jobs (even though we are still over in S. Korea) Too much? pointless?

My only worry is that I don't want my application package being bombarded with QUANTITY, rather than QUALITY? ... i wish my 'word' was proof enough haha! Like... we wouldn't be applying for my wife's residency, if were weren't intending to move back!

This is weird, but we just received the AOR now too. Half an hour after the SA. They confirmed 3.12.2013 being the date they received the application.

Also, ECAS says: "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."

That's awesome! I know someone else who received AOR and SA on the same day! amazing!! Good to know they're starting to clear out the early December applicants!

Looks like I will have to wait until next week to hear from CIC as my application was sent only in the third week of Dec. :'(

Every time my phone indicates that I have received a mail, I hope it is from CIC. At this rate, I don't know what's going to be my state by next week!!

Thank you, and I wish the same to all of you. I do feel very relived, I started dancing when I read the email. But the journey has just begun. My VO is famous for being the slowest one in Europe, so I'm preparing myself for the worst.

I'm glad I found this forum to share both the sad and the happy moments with people that know what it means to go through such a process.

OMG!!! My husband just got an email from them. He has been approved as a sponsor and my application has been forwarded to the VO!!! And We have a UCI number now, yay.

Do not be dismayed JenPin..there is no rhyme/reason ...I wouldn't be surprised if you get something sooner than you think
