Hi All.

I submitted an RCMP finger print criminal record check with my application, however today I received a request from CIC for RCMP. The letter does say please disregard if you have already submitted, but is it not odd that they sent it in the first place when it was received with my application?

Requests like this one are usually automated. And if you've submitted RCMP checks with your application, then you can follow
the instructions in that email, and disregard it

Hi "siri". Firs of all let me congratulate you. Regarding your query. Inform CIC about your new situation and send them a copy of the birth certificate of your daughter when you get it (your daughter is canadian now). No need to add her to your application.

I haven't submitted my RCMP with application. Till now I didn't hear anything from CIC regarding RCMP.

Is it better to submit now itself? Or need to wait for request from CIC?

Please guide me..

When did your application reach CIC? Mine was Dec 23rd.

I haven't submitted my RCMP either and haven't heard anything yet. Part of me thinks I might have deleted my spam messages without checking for it, other part thinks that it shouldn't go to spam directly :/

Thinking about just getting the RCMP done and sending it anyways...

I am a dec 18th applicant and have my RCMP in hand. Posted this beacuse Just want to know whether I can submit now itself or after the request from CIC.

Please keep in mind that the RCMP ringerprints are not a mandatory document. If CIC doesn't request the check, you don't
have to do it. Wait for the RCMP request from CIC and then complete the process, if you don't get the request - there's nothing you have to do.



Also, it it recommended to add "@cic.ga.ca" to your safe sender list in your email account so emails don't
go into the spam folder.

I got RCMP criminal check request from CIC and electronic finger prints are not available with police services. I went to another agency but they are also saying 3-4 weeks and will send directly to CIC. Is there any other option i can get it done and should send to CIC by myself.

i checked with them only and they said 3-4 weeks and will submit directly. That is why i was looking for other fast and reliable option
