MP can just inquire about the status of your application or ask/request them to review the decision. Ottawa office then reply to MP and MP will update you about the outcome.

Congrats V,

It is also possible to land first and then travel back to India without PR card and return using a travel document issued at Delhi. I am told that this is quite a routine procedure adopted by many and quite easy going way.

I am in India and i have got the passport request email to send my passport to ottawa....i have already updated CIC regarding my change of address and the contact address is my Canadian lawyer 's address.... At this point should i go ahead and send the passport to ottawa or wait for CIC to reply to my lawyer's mail asking if the passport can be sent to Delhi?
Also can we send the passport to another country thru courier from India... If so does someone know which courier service will accept passports?

You cannot send your passport from India to Canada. If any courier service is ready to do that I would not go with that. I would not put my passport under risk. I would say wait for the Office change.

BTW, when you get the PPR?

Thanks for the reply. I recieved my PPR on 27th Oct.... All my other dates and timelines have already been updated in the thread ....
Any idea how long it will take for the Office change?

I am still waiting for the PPR so I don't know personally. But I see people get response back within 15 days.
