So you think to be on the safe side, I should not mention the OB 485A in my explanation letter?
This is what I wrote. I never mentioned OB 485A not any links to CIC because VO who's processing your BOWP pretty much knew about BOWP rules and eligibility.

Sub: Request to consider my application for Bridging Open Work Permit
Dear Sir/Madam,
I, Your Name , live in Toronto, Canada since Date. I have applied for Permanent Residency under Canadian Experience Class(CEC) in Dec 2013. Application was received at Sydney, Nova Scotia on 8th December 2013. Please find submitted my application for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP).
The reason for applying a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) is that my current open work permit expires on expire date of your current work permit. So it would be very helpful if you approve my Bridge Open Work Permit until a decision is made to my PR application.
I hereby promise to leave Canada before the expiry of the issued Bridge Open Work Permit if a decision is yet to be taken on my PR application by then.
If you have any concerns or further questions, or in need of any additional information, please advise me immediately. All the given information are legitimate and true to the best of my knowledge.
Yours Sincerely,
