Man if you have planned to go back - what is this fuss all about ? If your PR is in process , CIC gives you a option to apply BOWP , if you don't want one yes you have to go back . Rest if PR taking time is your problem , Sit back and relax as you can't control it . Best of luck.

Below link has all information you need to apply BOWP. Write N/A than leave it blank.
For Employer, Work Location etc., write "BOWP application - Not Applicable" and if you're applying for spouse write "Spousal Open Work Permit - Not Applicable".

Thank you I followed the instructions in the link you provided, I just got confused tht online it says OB485 is an expired document, is it still ok to refer to it in my explanation letter?

Man , I personally didn't found your query neither the response adequate, If somebody is responding to your query you should be courteous enough to respond back in a proper way . Just posting a one liner here won't help you at all , I don't know above even a question or you giving a statement .

No body is free here , So advise and request when you ask somebody but more elaborative . Thanks for your query , Ignore me if you don't feel what I am trying to say.

Operational Bulletin 485-A – September 19, 2013 is the latest operational bulletin for BOWP. I don't think it's an issue to mention in your explanation letter.

If you view the bulletin page, it has a big red banner that says it has expired:

It refers to "Program Delivery Instructions" which has the following link inside:

So you think to be on the safe side, I should not mention the OB 485A in my explanation letter?

This is what I wrote. I never mentioned OB 485A not any links to CIC because VO who's processing your BOWP pretty much knew about BOWP rules and eligibility.

Sub: Request to consider my application for Bridging Open Work Permit

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Your Name , live in Toronto, Canada since Date. I have applied for Permanent Residency under Canadian Experience Class(CEC) in Dec 2013. Application was received at Sydney, Nova Scotia on 8th December 2013. Please find submitted my application for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP).

The reason for applying a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) is that my current open work permit expires on expire date of your current work permit. So it would be very helpful if you approve my Bridge Open Work Permit until a decision is made to my PR application.

I hereby promise to leave Canada before the expiry of the issued Bridge Open Work Permit if a decision is yet to be taken on my PR application by then.

If you have any concerns or further questions, or in need of any additional information, please advise me immediately. All the given information are legitimate and true to the best of my knowledge.

Yours Sincerely,

Did anyone recieve their PR ? my online application status is still showing

1.We received your application for permanent residence on December 20, 2013.

2.We started processing your application on July 8, 2014.

What are the stages after that ? how long that will take?

Any support from you guys will help, I am getting nervous because they asked for supporting documentation on July 8th I sent them the documents but no word back since!
