Congrats. That is really amazing considering Singapore's timeline is 24 months! How did u get AOR? Email or mail?

I am very surprised myself. The AOR was via Email, and pretty much a form letter like the Sponsorship AOR I got in December.

Dear *wife's Thai nickname & maiden name*,

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2013/01/03.

Got a new UCI and File number for her as well.

The weird thing is her maiden name was only mentioned in the marriage certificate, not the application itself, and her nickname was only mentioned once in the relationship proof, buried within. This in my eyes would mean somebody took the time to actually read over things already, rather than just ensuring all the papers were there, and adding it to the queue. Time will tell however, they could be quite thorough, and this is normal practice.

I am sure it was sent to her. Both our applications have the same email address (mine), since we live together.

This is great. They are on a roll. Did you receive the email or was it sent to your spouse?

All correspondences for stage 2 go to the applicant, unless the sponsor is listed as representative ( if there is a representative, correspondence for both stage 1 and 2 go to the him). AOR are usually by email as well.

They have probably received the missing documents, so the officer in charge will see them, and if everything is complete, then approve the sponsorship part and send your file to the next step - Islamabad. Nothing else to do from your side for the moment!

Did they send it back to you on January 4th... or did you send back the missing documents on January 4th?

I have sent the missing documents back on 4th january the tracking no. Of courier shows that they have received it on 4th january 2013

Congrats to both you and your visa office for such a timely process .
Its looking like December was the golden month to file , holidays in account and all.

I have tried to sign into CIC , with success, but the only info that shows up is my name , and then the option to remove consent for myself or others from ever accessing info to my application via the internet. Can anyone tell me if this is the norm?

And welcome to all the new December applicants ! May we all continue in the speedy manner we have
