I cant believe this, most of the people here who sent their application at the end of Dec 2011 haven't received anything and on the other hand one of my friend yesterday got his medical request, who sent his application on 27th of Dec 2011.

I've sent mine on 30th Dec, it seems like I might be getting some info regarding this soon.

Right there with ya minta. Sent application 22nd Dec. Heard nothing yet.

Same here, sent my application 23rd, nothing yet :'( ....

my concern is that with the attempt to speed up the CEC process, all applications submitted during 2012 with the new process r now a priority, and it looks like our applications r stuck in the middle between last yr's process and this yr's process :( ...

Applications submitted during Jan & Feb r already receving Med's request ... while for us (22nd - 30th Dec applicants) we didnt even recive an AOR .... I am pretty sure that there is a good explaination for this .. but there is no way for us to know wats going on :( ...

OR u can send case specific enquiry to Buffalo. they will defs write back in few days.

Calgary Lady,

For case specific write ur name, when application sent and ur client ID number.

Where did you see Jan & Feb applicants got their Medical Requests? Check this link below, some (only some) of them got AORs, but no one seems to have got medicals...: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t97241.0.html

My understanding of AOR is that, it's just a number, and it has nothing to do with your positions in the big line up. It has to be "first come first serve".

Hi Lamxlaogua, I read several comments is this forum frm Jan/Feb applicants abt receiving ther AORs & Meds, but I cant validate :)... While late Dec applicants did nt receive an AOR..

And yes, my understanding is similar to urs, execpt that I dnt think the files r being processed based on first come first serve bases for complete applications, there is some other criteria for da order for processing files but I dnt know what it is

it's highly likely that Sydney office transfered Jan & Feb ppl to Ottawa before Buffalo transfered late Dec.

I'm sure all late Dec will hear from them very soon :)

I'm gonna take my ME this afternoon, will report details after I get it done :-*

Congrats lilyluvx. Let me know where you get your medicals booked in Toronto. If you were make a prediction having got this far, when do you think you'd get your PR by?

I got my ME done today. I went to Dr.Richard Chan near Broadview subway station. The examination was pretty fast. He first asked me to take sample of my urine and blood, then he measured my height and weight, then a very simple vision test (i was asked to read a line of small letters right in front of my face, not even a standard vision exam) then he examed my breast (for breast cancer maybe?) then he asked me to go to somewhere nearby to get my X-ray done (also pretty fast, took only 15 minutes including waiting time).

he said he will mail my result in 10-15 days (i dunno if 10-15 days is just a standard estimate though, i heard other doctors take much less time to mail it out ).

Pretty standard.. i know someties the results are sent the next day, but that is the exception. The reason for the roughly 2 weeks lag is they have to send the blood test to regional provincial labs, so it depends where your located, and which city your docter sends the blood tests too.

Congrads, I did my ME on the 10th, and they confirmed it was sent out yesterday morning. I'm in Ottawa, so it should have reached them the same day :) The docters office confirmed they just have a courier pick up the files and drop it off the same day.
