When your score is recalculated, there will be a chance that your score will be higher since your wife is no longer accompanied. The 40 points for spouse will be given back to you and it will be distributed to other components.

Have you tried to calculate your score as a single person?

Thanks all for the condolences. I will do the recalculations right away. My spouse had 3 Masters degree and an average IELTS score. Thanks for the information about the chances of having a higher score as a single person. However, my main fear is going back for another IELTS, not ambitious nor strong-willed for another one. This one expires July.

Please recalculate and check. You might be really close.

;) Good news!! That means you can continue your application.

I am very sorry to hear what you suffered. Based on my reading, I am afraid your ITA won't work as your score would drop below the cutoff. I hope things would work out for you in the future.

I think many people are misreading your comments. If your CRS will be 440 and the ITA was for a score of 434 then you can proceed. I cannot imagine having to get all the documents together at this stressful time and I suggest if you know you will be short of time, send a case specific email to explain and request an extension. If they deny it, you will most likely get an invitation at next round. Do your best to meet the date. Sincere sympathy.
