Dear Seniors,

I need some advice.

I currently hold a visitor visa to Canada and plan to visit in September. Being a Pre juner in NDVO I am expecting medicals soon(maybe July or August). My husband is in Canada.
My question is
1. If I don't get MR till Aug/Sep can I do my medicals without receiving MR instructions?
2. Is it advisable to get an updated PCC for me and my husband?? Please note that I have sent updated documents in Feb 2012(though not my PCC, but my husband's PCC).
3. When NDVO asks for RPRF,MR, PPTs etc, is it ok if I do not send PPTs and send it at a later stage, for me and my husband, when I come back?
4. Can I bring my husband's Passport to India with his authority letter?
5. Can we do all things here and get PPTs stamped in Ottawa(just a thought)??

Please give your answers/opinion.

@ vanky,

Any thought is never childish. It may be childish for you but it may be boon for others.

This is an open forum and everybody should be respected for the queries & comments.

This forum is the best consultant I have ever seen & Please don't recommend anybody on this forum to refer consultant who don't have any knowledge in Immigration. I have applied directly thru this forum & everything is going fine.

Thanks for your reply.
It is better to ask in doubt.

Secondly I guess that, my thoughts didn't came out properly in the questions or I didn't expressed myself properly.
I'll put my questions in other words.

My main concern is that my husband is in Canada on a student visa and I am here in India. Being the PA, our visa office is New Delhi(and during the application time I was single).
I sent updated documents in Feb 2012 which included updated POF and PCC for my husband(mine was sent in 2010).
In my cover letter to NDVO for updation of documents I clearly mentioned that my husband is in Canada and cannot travel to India to get his passport stamped. If I am not mistaken than NDVO takes at least 2 to 3 months for stamping.

Secondly I got a visitor visa in the meantime and plan to go in September for at least 2 to 3 months. Hence the asked questions asked for smooth processing before hand, so that when the MR comes all I have to do is gets things done rather than ask for information or clear my doubts,

And please do not write in ALL CAPS. Its rude.

But anyways thanks for your reply about hiring a consultant. It never crossed my mind. Though I'll hire someone near my city i.e. if I hire.

Hi Nano,

1. Since your Vo is NDVO, it cannot be changed.....final Visa stamping has to be done from NDVO.
2. Yes, you can carry your husband's PP with you ....carry necessary documentation (An authorization letter)
3. You may have to provide PCC since it has been too long from the initial processing times.
4. Your husband's PCC is recent and he is residing in Canada, so might be exempted.

Nano, the requirement of PCC (esp for ur husband) is dependent on the officer's discretion.....one may or may not ask.

5. In the past, applicants have undergone Meds without VO's request and have been successful. If you feel comfortable (depending to your situation), you may give it a try. Actually, when you come here for vacation, call a DMP and ask about the possibilities (that is in case you do not receive Meds before).

Hope this helped.

Dear Mitali,

Thanks a lot for your valuable inputs.
+1 to you.
Keep up the good work.

Though one of my question is left unanswered.

In event that I get medicals, RPRF and PPT, and I get them done, in India or Canada, is it ok if I send only medicals, RPRF and updated documents and not my PPT(cos its possible that I will be in Canada). Secondly even if the procedure get over before september, I may not be able to send my husband's PPT(as he is in Canada and he cannot come to India for an extended amount of time, because of his work/study commitment). I highly unlikely that he may need to travel in emergency.
What is the best possible solution in this scenario?

Hi nano,
I understand that ur main worry is abt sending pps, now. For this u can ask for extension period for submission of documents from ur IO and u can submit rprf, pps and other documents together.i suggest to e-mail the case officer directly.
I hv asked for it and i got 30d extension, although its from dubai and for pps only.

once u r done with meds either in india r canada - reports r sent to cic directly by dmp.

And as suggested by mitali, u can bring ur hubby's pps to india with guided procedure.

Good luck.
Rgds.

Sorry Nano....missed that question which was vital.... :(

It is always advisable to send all the Docs (PP, RPRF, PCC,if requsted) together. But sometimes situations are challenging and beyond the control of an applicant. VOs understand this. Its just that they need to be notified in advance of the impending situation , if possible. In your case, as you can see that the PP may have to be sent separately, request and seek advice of the VO. Inform him about the situation and request for an extension of the date for the submission of PP. I have seen an applicant getting an extension of 3 months for the PP submission. Sorry cannot remember the name of the applicant on this forum.....wish I had saved the post.... :(

Transparency with the VO is always in the benefit of the applicant.
