Dear Friends,
We are in the last stage of getting our immigrant visa. I've couple of questions to ask.
Firstly,How much time NDVO takes for stamping the visa after submission of the passport & other req document. ( for post june applicant ) second, how much POF is required to show during our landing at canada for a family of 3(me,wife & small child)? I've read somewhere that depositing money in Scotia bank account can be shown as Proof of Funds. I've shown half Property & half Cash initially during our application process. so can we show the same thing during our landing? Please Clarify my doubts. For a family of 3, CIC website says to carry 17000$. So do we have to show that much money during our landing? Third, is there any possibility of getting discounted air tickets if we book our air tickets way before around, say
6-months prior to our journey?
Very much appriciate your prompt replies on this.
Thanks & Regards,
arcticmaple. :)

One more very imp question for me. Can a dependent child also get his passport if either one of his parent follows the residency timeline. Actually my wife and kid dont have plans to settle in Canada. But, I want to get Canada passport by residing there for 3-years so that in future my kid can do his higher studies. They will be here in our home country. In that case can i opt for passport for my kid without his physical presence in canada for 3-years?

No they have to stay there for that time in Canada.

I remember earlier similar kind of question was raised by someone and somebody who is senior has replied that dependent child who is less than 18-years of age need not have to follow the timeline. seniors please advice on this.
thanks
