DD returned third time.

Hi,

This is getting really on my nerves and I am not sure what to do.

This is the third time my DD has been returned. THis time the reason it mentioned was "The name of the issuing branch is not mentioned on the bank draft/certified cheque".

I got a DD for CAD $490 from HDFC Bank. The HDFC Bank is written on the DD. Now, looking at the reason it seems that the Branch name should also be written on the DD. Has anyone encountered such an issue before? Please help me out with this. This is the third time my DD has been returned back.

I presume you are trying to pay CHC - New Delhi your RPRF fee...Am I right?

Maybe you can send them a demand draft in Indian Rupee which is payable at New Delhi for Rs. 19900/-
I have seen people here talking about paying in Indian Rupee instead of CAD$

I would like to see what seniors have to say on this.

I did that already and it was returned back to me asking for CAD $490.

oops....in that case you should ask your bank to put a rubber stamp or something on bank draft/certified cheque which shows their branch address or maybe they can issue a new draft/cheque which has their branch address.

I think we can pay RPRF fee in Indian rupees at CHC New Delhi. Please correct me if I am wrong

BS is right but at certain branches.......I am from pakistan and here we can pay prrf fee at designated standard charted bank branches in Pak Rupees.

I think once they have entered the mode of payment and currency in their system you are supposed to submit the fee in that form only. I sent the DD for INR 19,900 already but they sent it back to me asking for CAD $490.

Only applications going to Mississauga and Vegreville can be paid on line by Credit Card.

@ blueboy - make a new draft/certified cheque or any other good Indian bank such as SBI which has wider international network than any other bank......make sure it's payable at CANADA and it has branch address & code on it.

This was 3rd time when your DD has returned so I presume you have enough experience on what they want
