Hi birdwings and Rorita,
I did follow up with fax at the beginning of the process but if on you approval letter CIC-M if they indicate they will transfer your file to Damascus embassy the process will be done over there even if you send them a fax they will still dothe process in Damascus unless an interview is requested that's when you can choose to be done in Beirut. Also if the application is approved you can request to pick the visa from Beirut as well.
For AOR to be received it will take an approximate one month and half from the date of your approval letter received by CIC-M . They will usually send it by mail to the applicant.

but in the end, I don't think it is a big problem if the file goes to damscus, if an interview is required she will do it in beirut, and about sending passport, she can use DHL or aramex, very easy.

Me and Marlena are welcoming you ! lolBoujasim thanks a million for your offer. I live in Ottawa and my husband of course as you know in Lebanon. I'm sure if you meet him he will sit with you and ask you every little detail on the interview. He is already stressed out by me especially when I told him I had prepared 73 POSSIBLE questions for him if he had to go through the interview. Not I want to stress him out or anything but I want him to be prepared for any possibilities. Just to be on the safe side....

Not to drive off topic too much - but I saw a funny movie, The Proposal - good movie dealing with immigration . They did skits at the end of questions being asked by the I/O, and it was a comedy - very funny. Good comic relief after all the stress we go through with our files.

I won a sneak peak, from the radio station. I stumped them with asking how tall the tallest pyramid in Giza is...the Khufu pyramid. They were wayyyyyy off lol...it's 455 feet, originally constructed at 481 feet [in case anyone asks you]. But do go see it when you can .
