i think the best thing would be for them to send updates like at least tell s you have approximatly 4-5 months of waiting ahead of u so we know where we stand

i agree, i can wait more than 5 months, but @ least give me some news, anthg!!!!

hi sohrab , i have question , we only have a one client No and no more ,and only say we receive your application for permanent residence in 1 murch !!!!! , are you the same ?

yes my situation is the same, i only had the client number as well, but one day i emailed them to ask a random question and they replied and my wife's file number was in the email, it starts with B xxx xxx xxx, so dont worry if you email them you will get your immigration file number

i think the lady that answered at the embassy must not have understood you properly, when something is wrong with the medical they ask you to do it and see if that illness/whatever is not there anymore, that is totally different than a medical expiring, but honestly i dont think its a good idea to do it without them asking because i asked a couple of my colleagues today and they told me they are starting to change the forms for the REDO medicals, so the people that have expired medicals will get a special form rather than APPENDIX c which everyone gets, this is to make sure the RIGHT person is doing the medical and not someone else, apparently people with illnesses have been getting relatives to do medical for them in order to hide diseases etc and they just bribe the doctor to not say anything.....
i guess its an open issue, but dont worry you did the right thing

its comparable to the RQ, i mean we all know we need to do it so why not just do it now and send it in, well because that might look suspicious, why are you sending in residency information when they didnt ask for it.... what are you trying to hide......
i know this damn process is so frustrating that all of us think if by doing 1 thing like renewing medicals earlier than they ask or sending in RQ before they ask.... we would be able to speed it up and it would make a difference and we would be happy , but honestly i think we should wait for them to ask ......

think about it, if everyone started renewing medicals whenever they wanted and if people started filling in RQ's or other documents without being asked the whole process would be destroyed.... they will be getting a ton of unwanted mail, which will probably end up getting lost since no one knows who it belongs to or why its here and a whole lot of other problems.. all because they arent EXPECTING it...

It is also written in the application guide that it is the responsibility of the applicant to keep all of his documents and information up to date.

Thank you!

hey!

Today my MP informed me that the embassy just started with the initial review for my case. Not too sure what they have been doing for the past 8 month. Also, she told me that the embassy sent me an email earlier this morning giving me updates, but I nor my wife have received any thing. did this happen to any of you...is it possible that they messed up in writing the email address or has been captured incorectly.
