I didnt understand, or I have missed a point : How comes that you have got your PPR YAYAMARIE and now you are renewing your medical exams?

i am done from Sponser, and I got approved but I have to do the second part , ARC because I was refugee in Canada ( long story) so I had to apply for ARC after sponser been approved, and as well my medical exam.
When I was in sryia the lady I talk to in the embassy said once they received the Medical I ll be done , so I am praying to finish this pain

I think they chose Ottawa due to the unsettled situation in Syria. Every one here seems to talk abt medical exams, well in my case, I have sent in the medical exams for my husband with my package & that was the initial package. Dont tell me they might ask for another medical from him?

i sent also my medical and everything in the same time, i think it's not a problem. they will only ask for medical if it expired (after 1 year). and they'll request for additional docs only if there's sthg missing in ur file.
as for the duration, 4 months is too short, u'll have to be patient the time needed varies between 6 and 11 months >:(
i was very upset to know that in the beginning, but believe me time passes soooo quicklyyy!

Dear Lello,
Everyone sends in the medical with the package at the beginning, but if the visa is not issued before the expiry date of medical (which is 1 year after the test), they will ask to redo the medical.

I have recieved an email from the embassy, they have requested a new medical test for my wife

Did they also ask for new police certificate? Is it written at the bottom of letter that if your case is successful, they will ask for her passport?

Hello all,

I'm new to all this and I found very interesting facts about applications and process time. I just got married in Lebanon end of January, sent in my papers in May and got reply for granted sponsorship first week of June. I was advised that my file was already sent to Ottawa for processing and just waiting for the next e-mail.....Anyone here got their application sent to Ottawa? ??? ???

Hello:

My application was sent to Ottawa on 13-th of June, I hop it will be shorter than Damascus.

What are the exact dates of your application? so that we can add you on the list

Regards.

Abdul.

No they didn't request a new police certificate, and it doesn't say that if they receive the new medical they will request her passport.

just because we have no ppr in this tiny group, doesn't mean that the office is closed! stay positive guys! :)

btw, i may get an attractive job offer in the US. if i move there, will it have any impact on our case? does anyone happen to know?

and a simple math to show how the processing times average can be screwed up!

assume 1200 cases in Damascus

1000 cases take only 7 months and the other 200 cases take 14 months.

those 200 cases (less than 20%) can increase the processing time up to about 8.4 months.

having said that once kamal gets his ppr, the processing time may go under 11 months ;)

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your lovely comments. Sorry I couldn't come to the forum sooner, I was really busy this week.
So my husband went to the Canadian embassy in Damascus on Sunday. He told me there were about 40-50 people who had come to collect their visa there. So the embassy is working strong. The thing that was interesting for me was that they were not all sponsorship cases but quebec cases, skilled workers and ....
So he went in and handed his passport(it took 30 minutes) and the next day he went there at 3 and got his passport and immigration papers.
I know that you are all worried and miss your spouses, but be patient. They are still open and working, although maybe not at a fast pace.
Hope the list here turns all green real soon.

Hello Abdmoh

My lawyer was the one to go to the Mississauga Office, but since he knew the girl that works there, she looked over the app and told him what was missing so anyways I know papers were sent in May 2011, i got granted sponsership June 8, 2011, they advise me that my file was already in Ottawa for processing and since then i havent heard anything, but my lawyer said after 6 weeks from June i should get another file #....so not sure now what is the next step....

hello everyone!
it's a new day ;)
i'm gonna try to stay positive, i hope soe gets his ppr today

good morning every one any ppr today my nightmare will nver end 2 months after second medical ex ...... nothing yet

i just wanna ask a question: 2 months ago, i received a mail from damascus after sending them one, to ask them if they received my file and if evthg is ok. (because i sent my file in december).
so they replied saying "votre dossier est en cours d'etude", they never mentionned when the treatment started. do u think it started when they sent the email? and can anyone tell me if "en cours d'etude" means they r almost done with it...or anthg else? i'm desperate for some answers ::)
