thanks sohrab,i'm thinking of embassy in syria,if they close the embassy what will happen to documents?,i didn't send our application,what should i do?,should i wait or send the application?

no no dont wait, send it right away, its going to take about 1 month in Mississauga then they send it to Syria, who knows in that 1 month things might change and everything could be ok, there is no point of waiting BECAUSE the sooner they get your file the sooner you'd be in the waiting list, its not like if you send it and god forbid something happens in syria they are going to throw everything out haha, as canadiandude mentioned before here, they have copies of ALL our files,

I sent my package on 15 march, they recieve it on 16 march, the letter issued 19 April,I recieve the letter on 26 April,

you should log on the website and see when they started processing in Damascus so they can add the date to the chart

I am still around but too busy to post
anyway no update for me too, my lawyer send my missing documents and I am sure they will ask me to redo medical
and maybe a new police certificate.
my prayers to all of us to be reunited soon with our loved ones and for peace to be in the middle east
I wish all of us will have a happy ending
hopefully within 2 weeks i will have an update
for any one sending information bymail just an advice also email to them so there will be no delay in the process

Yes they requested New medical on feb 28 and I sent it to them the new one on march 9 and since then nothing except I contact my mp and she replied with this :

I just spoke to the CIC Enquiry unit about this case.
They advised that the file is near completion.
It is due to be reviewed again shortly, at which point the next step would be issuing a visa.
Therefore, I would expect a letter should be sent soon to the applicant.
If you have not received any information within the next month, please feel free to contact me again so I can make another inquiry on your behalf.

Hi the mp it's you local member of parliament that they can make an inquiry on your behalf
I don't know how much they are useful but it's worth to try and the applicant or the sponsor both they can contact them .

Depending on which city you live in, , and which area of the city you live in there is an MP, you find out their name and go to their website and the contact information is there, but i think you should wait until Tuesday, since tomorrow is elections and the mp of your area might change! good luck
