Congratsssss to both of you,,,Nilogooogoooli and Ghazalliii...I am so happy for you.. ;D

Dear Shayesteh,

My husband landed in Toronto last week on March 20th and I was with him. I took him about an hour to finish both immigration part and Custom. The paperwork itself doesn't take time, but there was a que. The whole process was so smooth and fast, just right after the passport control he needs to go to the immigration and then they give him some papers for his social and then he goes to custom to declare money and things he has with him and the Good to Follows if he has any.

Dear Nemooneh,

as Shayesteh mentioned the only thing that MPs can do is to help to get some info regarding the process of your file but they can't do anything to make the process faster...

In your case honestly I don't think your MP can even get the info for you because you have just waited for 2 months...and it is too early to contact MP or order GCMS...I ordered my GCSM a year after applying and contacted my MP after I waited for 16 months...So he really tried to help bc I waited so long...

I am sure your process will be much faster than ours since you applied recently and your file went to Ankara directly...

Dear Nilogooogoooli and Ghazalliii.congrats ,only my hubby "s visa is pending :( hoping that we get this email within these days ;)

we have just received the golden email.
This was a month with the happiest ending I remember. Congrats Ghazali jan :) I hope you a great life with your hubby and baby.

niloogoogooli :)

for vekalat and renewing your passports you should contact the "daftare hafezze manafee iran" in Washington. They will assist you with this stuff.
They might ask you to go there in person for some certain jobs. Like if vekalat has bare mali and all those stuff

So its not 100% through posts they might want you in person some times.

One more thing you could do is to contact the Iran embassy section in the "Vezarate Kharejeh" in Tehran.
They have shifted the same Iran embassy in Canada to vezarate khareje and they will give the same services they used to give in Canada.
The problem might be that you will have to sent some of your family membesr (dad, mom, brother, or sister) in person to Vezarat Khareje

So these are the only options we have now.

merciiiiiiiiiii for your response...I think we are going to explore options to see if it is possible to fly first of directly from ankara and to land directly in vancouver... i will keep you guys posted as to what we decide to do...although i just checked flights to ankara from tehran and they are only 185 dollars...

thank you guys for all the support...

also an off note ...so since the iranian embassy in canada is now closed who do we have to contact for things such as vekalat and new passport requests? thanks:D

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and replies to my question.
I am not going to change my husband's flight but I will call AirCanada to ask them what our options are.

I have another question. Is there any minimum or maximum for the amount of money he can bring in with him?

He officially is allowed to bring 5000 out due to Iranian restrictions and 10000 in in accordance with the Canadian restrictions

well, he can bring any amount that he wants but he needs to declare it if it is above 10,000$...My husband had 50,000 US$ and we declared it and it was fine...
