I really wish I could. I may do so after I get sure that my wife is here in Canada, and such a lawsuit would not affect her immigration file. I still have to get informed of any progress through Mr representative! If he did not make those serious mistakes, our application was gonna be filed in January 2012!

Do u mind me asking what he did? There are lots of people out there callinh themselves immigration lawyers...its frustrating .. And they direct u in the wrong path... But def do it

There were multiple malpractices, but above all, he had sent the case to the false office in Alberta instead of Mississauga. After 4 months, the case got reviewed, we got informed of the fault, and were told that the case was sent directly from Alberta to Mississauga. After an additional 3-month period the case got rejected and we were notified that during those months the forms were changed and we should fulfill new forms and start the application all from the beginning.

I believe They ask for the RPRF to be paid If that is the only thing preventing the finalization of your case ,so no worries there ,as background check could take freaking long in some instances.

Erina jaan, don't stress out...when it comes to Canada immigration, never compare ur case with anyone else...as you can see they treat each case differently....
Don worry...everything is fine...just don't think about it...I know it is hard...but that is the only way...

not necessarily-while it maybe true for some people but i know in my case they asked for ppr fee a very long time ago..Erina have u heard anything back at all?? did they reply back to ur lawyer's email?...if not have u tried mp at all?

Isn't it possible to pay landing fee without requesting and inform them and sent it to Mississauga?
because I also haven't paid landing fee, I'm waiting to be approved my sponsorship then pay the fee.

Most people I saw here have paid RPRF before they were asked for. It is absolutely possible and I guess it is definitely preferential.

True, most people here get a request after 2,3 months max..... and what could have been done in 2,3 months?

Nothing Kazhal joon :'( :'( :'( Last night I was so stressed and upset.... They didn't even bother to reply back, just said we can't answer, please wait....

Yeah you can pay online at anytime. If you're sure your case will be accepted then do it, but mine.... we still don't know what happens, so that's why we waited to hear from them for this landing fee. After their request, it takes 2-4 weeks to process. Some people say it takes 2,3 months, but it's not true, I've spoken to CIC and they said it doesn't take that long.

erinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa dont worry...seriously!!!! you have plenty of time....ur not even close to the one year land mark:)....be optimistic....obviously they have picked up the pace starting january....so just give them some time...and as hard as it is...the less we talk of it ...the more likely that it will happen:))....(these are the methods of justification that i use for my self, fyi...we are getting close to 365 day since we sent out our application:D:))
