Congrats, may I ask if you/ your wife applied from Quebec ?

It doesn't go quicker for people in Quebec, believe me! I'm in Quebec, my husband is in Turkey, CIC received our application in April 2012, and no one in Ankara ever touched our file yet, except when I forced them to answer very specific questions about a missing police certificate from Afghanistan and a bad date in our notes (someone removed a full month of validity to the medical results). Also, they told me they were working on older files. This would have made sense if I didn't have access to the Ankara spreadsheet on this forum... Look at my position (and status) in the spreadsheet! It's not because I forgot to share some information here, it's really our current status in Ankara >:(

when did they tell you they are working on older files??

Then meant files older than mine, not the oldest files, but my point is that MANY newer files are already in process. They were somehow telling me files are processed in the order they were received, but thanks to this forum, I have the proof it's not always true. For the record, they replied to my email on November 30.

i agree with u they are lying,,they always say everyone gets fair treatment, and that files are processed based on when they are received but we all know its a freakn ass lie...good luck to you and everyone else

Could u tell us your timetable ? ;)

Hi,
Here is my timeline.
Wish you best

Step-1:
We received your application to sponsor "Name" on October 12, 2011.
We sent you a letter on December 19, 2011 about the decision on your application.
Step-2:
We received "Name" 's application for permanent residence on October 12, 2011.
We started processing "Name"'s application on June 13, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

Guys I have a question. My police certificate is done on May 22, 2012. I heard that after 6 months this will be expired. Do I need to send another one now without Embassy telling me to send a second one? If that is the case how can I send it?

I knew before you could send it online but it seems that option has been removed from cic site or I can't find it. Do I need to mail it or don't even bother sending it?

Please let me know

Thanks

Goli

No, never send them any document without them requesting for it.

Have you redone medicals? or they extended it?

do you mean the police certificate from iran??? if thats what you mean, i dont think you need to redo that, i know in the last 2 years they have not asked us to redo that at all..but if its something else than someone hopefully has the answer to your Q..

Thank you guys. That was exactly what I meant. Police certificate from Iran. The reason I asked was because some people I know they sent that after 6 months when it expires.

Thanks

Goli

That expiry date on police certificate is for use in Iran only. For example if your employer in Iran asks for a police certificate if it goes over 6 months you have to redo it.

Canadian embassy doesn't care about that expiry. If they suspect you however they'll ask you for another one. But I never heard of anyone who had to resend police certificate
