I am going for 2 weeks in March (Eide Norouz) through Seattle, worried about travelling there cuz I heard US border guards don't like to hear you saying that you are going to Iran.

I went thru Washington (just transit with Qatar Airways) and they checked me THREE TIMES in Toronto! First basic questions. Second finger prints. Third opened all my bags and asked very private questions! For example they asked me why did your father immigrate to Canada and bring you here?! I wanted to say sir that's none of your business you are from the American government ... Canadian government never asked me such question! The next question was messed up too. He's like why are you studying at university and why that particular major? I was like

Buying a ticket in Iran is really messed up, i asked the KLM guy in Iran he said they have to charge an extra 400$ because of the sanctions! Best bet buy it in Can unless you know a good travel agent in Iran

Alish even though ticket prices have grow up in Iran, but still it's cheaper than here. My partner bought ticket for New Delhi for 600 000 Toman, roughly 200 dollars, fairly cheap.

American custom and border services do have more friendly and respectful staff than canadians. I wouldnt worry about a thing when traveling to states they are way nicer than canadians. If you dont lie to them they wont give you hard time. I have always traveled through states to go to iran and never had an issue. suprisingly when I came back to canada from states I was always treated with discrimination.

He is purchasing his ticket in iran but there are chartered flights from tehran i think yek milliono nim toman...the best season is from oct to feb but feb is really expensive cuz of the chinese new year...personally we bought ours for the end of jan and returning second week of feb... Im counting down the mins till i get to see him ... Over a year and half...lol u should totally do it china is awsome too.... From vancouver ur flight is connected through shanghai ...
