checked eCase today after 2 months.

So after having my file in Ankara for 7 months, and 9 months since initial application, my status says Application Received. Hate those lazy officers

Ankara asked you for additional documents that means your application is actually IN PROCESS.
The thing with ecas is that it really depends on the officer who is in charge of your app. If he/she is tech friendly he updates ecas if not nothing shows on ecas! CIC should reevaluate their employee trainings!

if you look at the chart you'll see that they have periods of inactivity that goes up to 80 days! plus the way they handle is very inconsistent. We have two people on the chart who got approved on Oct 5 together but one them changed to IN PROCESS 14 days later while the other one had to wait 55 days!

I have a question about the time it is going to take after the status changes to "in process". I can see from the chart that two poeple that got the PPR their stage two started on Mar 2012. At that time Ankara was only 5 months duration in CIC. They have got theirs in around 6 months consistent with what it said on CIC timeline.

Now that it has changed to 16 months!!!!!! (WOW what a long long time I can't believe that), is it going to take around 14 to 16 months? Is there anybody that has applied after CIC timeline changed to 16 months and get his/her PPR in 6 months?

What I getting at is it seems to me this timeline in CIC despite the fact that it is only a number based on statistic but seems to be correct with a very close estimate. So why all of a sudden Ankara increased from 6 months to 16 months? Obviously the number doesn't show the mean value or statistically is off balance with huge amount of error!!

I can't believe I can wait that long. This is impossible. I need a miracle.

I have explained this many times before you can look up my past posts. But I'll say it briefly again. This has happened because of the files that have been transferred from Damascus. The recent sponsorship apps that were approved in Ankara took around 16 months but this is from the time these apps were received by Damascus office not Ankara. This is why the number is very off now. This happened precisely after Damascus office was closed and files were transferred to Ankara.
Also according to CIC this number is an average for majority of cases which are Damascus cases.
"The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012."

Don't worry you should be patient during the whole immigration process. u'll turn to in process soon n then start counting the days n asking well guys how long does it take to get ppr after in process! i know someone else worrying about turning to in process n who even wanted 2 send some more documents to them again n meanwhile she turned to in process.

we had 6 years relations and i send about 120 photos from 1385 including our travels , birthdays , family parties ,i think that we send enough documents to proof our relation , you know 6 years is too long we see each other every day and now it is very very difficult for us , now i am in Tehran but is it only 3 months

Yes. I saw this discussion of eCase again, and I meant eCase is not reliable, like my app already processed but yet having same old status of Application Received.

On other hand, from what people have experienced, they usually change you to in process when they pass eligibility and criminality and awaiting result for security.

It does vary but overall, not reliable.

I talk to well known immigration lawyer at a persian gathering and he told me there is a big push from immigration departement to bring in as many foreign students that they can, came home googled and watched CBC news, on it, heard the same thing.
So if you are wondering why all the wait and why Ankara is so slow to give PPR this could be one of the reasons....

You know what, in Jan they will still work on student visa as they did in sept to issue visas for them before the late registration deadline.

I am going for 2 weeks in March (Eide Norouz) through Seattle, worried about travelling there cuz I heard US border guards don't like to hear you saying that you are going to Iran.
