your welcome and no, I'm the sponsor living in Iran with my wife and daughter . you could just email the attached receipt file from anywhere but I' m not sure if you could your visa card to pay it from Iran. If I were u I would try the online method and if it doesn't go through then have someone in Canada pay it for you like I did.
Hope it helps .
cheers

ohh anytme ,
here is an exact quote from embassy :

"Once your sponsor has paid the RPRF fee in Canada, the receipt must be mailed to:

CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 6100 Station A
Mississauga ON L5A 4H4
CANADA

If the receipt is not mailed to CPC-Mississauga, our office cannot confirm the payment to continue processing your application.

Please quote your file number, as well as your telephone & fax numbers on all correspondence and on every document you send to us"

So what I did was to ask my brother to pay it by his visa, then fill the receipt with my information , send it to the @ above, then email me a scanned copy of the receipt he sent to mississauga already,
that's his part,
From my part I emailed the scanned receipt to Ankara embassy so they know that it 's been paid ,
From what I know it takes 3 weeks for miss . to process the fee and then they send it out to Ankara .
Cheers

thank u so much, u helped me alot :)

Dear all.
I am about to order CAIP/GSMC notes and I have one question, after having paid the $5.00 fee online, I printed a copy of the receipt and it asks to fill out address, phone # , Client ID..etc does that apply to the sponsor information or applicant ???

Thank you =)

thanks dear sambanica for the information

Hi Guys !!

I have been a silent reader for some time now and I have a few questions about my application if anyone can help. I am a Canadian living in Canada and my application was received back in July 8/2011. Since then it has been transferred to Amman from Syria. My questions are:

1) My wifes medical have expired should redo her medicals now before anyone contacts her or should she wait till an officer ask's to redo them?
2) I have contacted an immigration lawyer and my local MP and they were not able to help me in this nightmare AT ALL. I feel like I have no one to turn too. Is there a way to find out any more information about my application?
3) Would a letter to Minister Kenny help at all?
4) I am considering flying to Amman to see my wife once again (its been close to 15 months). Do you think that I would be able to get some answers from the Embassy processing the application?
5) If there is anything that can be done other than just waiting?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. May God (Allah) give you all the patience to get through this nightmare. God Bless!!

hello
for your medical id suggest for you not to redo it unless they ask you ....lots of medicals which have expired have been extended...my husbands medical expired in july but on the gcms notes it states that they have been extended...on that note....have you ordered the gcms notes...they shed a light on the status of your application...for me and hbehname it clearly shows that they have approved everything else and are now in the process of doing the security check...i think the gcms notes are your best option....definatly do them...it takes about a month for you to recieve the email....there are notes made on it by the officer....hope this helps

Thank you so much, I will definitely get the GCMS notes, after you recieved your GCMS notes could you approximate how much longer your applicaion is going to take, also would it make a difference if your e-cas has not changed at all. I know that some ppl wait till there ecas says "In Process" because that would be a clear indication that the process is almost over is this correct? My ecas has not changed at all :( !! God Bless

the gcms only costs 5 dollars...so even if you dont get anything useful out of it...id say its still worth it...just this past week there was a case where the status on ecas was never changed to in process and suddenly they received their ppr...so the ecas is not that reliable...id say for sure do the notes...the ecas update is at the discretion of the officer reviewing your file...so it really isnt an indication of anything...and the notes dont really mean anything in regards to how many more weeks till the application is finalized...the security screening is the longest process in the whole application...but dont lose hope...and goodluck:)

I asked my husband & he said the amount was $1040.00 CAD in total...
$550 = 475 + 75 (application fee)
$490 (landing fee)
Total = $1040

Is that all we have to pay for the whole process? I wanna pay everything now so they don't have to send me a letter asking me to pay which might delay the app for a few days.

I'm still completing my wife's application and I had a question.
For travel document (passport) do I need to send a certified copy with translation? Or I can photocopy it myself without translation?

Hi mchaabaa!
First of all do not worry at all. Lawyers and MPs are proved useless in this process for almost everyone, so do not get frustrated if they could not be of any help!
& regarding your trip to Amman, if you are a Canadian Citizen, you are welcomed at Canadian embassy. And if your waiting time has passed the period indicated in CIC website, they have to respond you! 8)

1- $1040 CAD is the whole cost of the process and it does not delay your case for days but MONTHS! ???
2- Passport does not need any translation or certified copy! A simple copy is enough, but both sponsor and applicant "Shenasname" must be copied(not certified) and translated(certified).
