Regarding the google spreadsheet, my status has been updated few weeks ago, but there are two incorrect information. I have never been asked for residency questionnaire, so please remove 27 Jan 2012. Besides, I am Canadian Citizen rather than PR.

By the way, I have a question, I would appreciate if anyone lets me know about that.
I just noticed changes in my application status saying " We started processing your application on June 5, 2012. Medical results have been received." I am wondering if anyone knows how long approximately the processing may take until PPR?

My wife's medical expires in june 28, should she wait to be notified for the second medical or should she just do it? Wouldnt it cause any delay or confusion to send medicals before they ask?

Also, what should she take with her to the doctor?

Dear Iman,
Yes this question has been answered a million times and every time the answer was "Redo it even without embassy asking and save some time". But with their new policy things could be different now.

Their new policy is that for cases which everything is finalized and the medical is the only pending thing, the officer can extend the medical for a another 3 months, meaning the first medical would be valid for 15 months, instead of the usual 12 months.

That being said, not everyone will be asked for a re-medical anymore, depends on the case. Previously things were different, the medical was valid for a year and no one would get visa without a valid medical, that's why we all re-did our medicals when it was expired without even waiting for the embassy to ask. But now things can be different. I personally think it is better if you wait and see what happens.

I think the applicants whose files were directly transferred to Ankara can post in there as well, because someone mentioned a good point a few days ago (sorry I don't remember who it was) and said probably many applicants are searching for "Ankara+spouse sponsorship" and so won't get directed to this Damascus thread ... For people like me whose files was transferred there's no point in sharing timeline with the new applicants since our situation and timeline weren't normal ones But the new applicants can start sharing their timeline in the Ankara thread as well, so in the future it can become a good database for others and people will be able to find a thread for Ankara when google-ing it

Congratulations on the status change! It means you are really close. People here have waited from a day since that change to about a month for PPR.
Most people got it in less than 10 days but for example Parastoo waited a month after the status change till her PPR came. I had the status change a month ago as well and am still waiting.

I believe you can expect PPR any day now Best wishes.

heyyy,, no love i have not recieved anything to this day and i am honestly not expecting anything anymore, i have come to a canclusion that the whole system is unfair and brutal ..with that being said i have lost faith and hope in ever recieveing anything from Canada and its embassy in Ankara...sorry for the negativity of my post..take care ;D ;D

The application was received in Damascus around mid march 2011. But we waited for them to ask us to do the medical again... it was about a month ago that they emailed us to do the medical again (and it was done immediately!). But in the online system it's not updated that they got the medical yet... Is there anything else we need to do? Any idea how much longer it will take?
