yup, my mom is sending a few kitchen appliances, I googled a few fright companes and they are real real expensive, around 5 grand.
They would send the stuff to dubai, cause of sanctions , then the container will be sent to Toronto,
they said the only stuff that's allowed into Canada from Iran are food products, and Carpet

I think it is cheaper to buy things new here in Canada, specially on boxing day.
plus electronics in Iran 220W

I agree with Rah....buying new things from canada is better because if u bring stuff from Iran u gonna have problems with electricity, as rah said Iran is 220W!

HOPE AFTER LONG HOLIDAY THEY WILL ISSUE VISAS AS MUCH AS THEY CAN!

u guys are right but the thing is she would loose a big hunch of cash since those stuff r almost as new but the value is gonna be half or less if she sells them in Iran. The 220w issue could be dealt with by a trip to closest radioshack.
but in total , i agree with u guys, she is gonna sell them back home and come back to CA empty handed. $5 grand is so much dough to pay

Rain of PPR coming tomorrow ???

CIC ECAS usually updated every Tuesdays...any PR for anyone??? :)

yeah mehdi jan thats not even counting the possible taxes you might have to pay when the things arrive, the border agency charges ridiculous taxes on the smallest things, not to mention appliances,
