Nenan,

Believe me that my wife is experiencing a mood swing!! One day she is very positive and the very next day she is very down.
Seeing her suffering like this is killing me....sometimes even this question comes to my mind that does Canada worth all these moments that we have been separated from each other?....I really don't know, only time shows me if we have made a right decision....for the time being I can only say, Inshallah it will be over soon....أن تكون قوية
thank you siavashf your word أن تكون قوية help me ,I wish all your wife's pain & yours will end very soon :) by meeting in the airport in Canada.

Hi everyone,

One more day!!!!!! ;D

Faridzad, thanks for the link. I think this is a good news.

Insha allah, everyone will be happy in March. :-*

Hi Wardeh..
Did your husband get the Visa yet? I am in the same situation if not worse, i applied to sponsor my wife in Dec 2010 and then the file went to in process in Dec 2011. My wife got a letter in Jan 2012 to renew the medical exam and then we heard immigration section in Syria is closed. I have no clue where we are at now and I am very frustrated so I am looking for ppl on this forum to see if they are having same problem. It has been 13 months and 2 weeks since the application has been received by the Canadian embassy in Damascus. :(

Regards,

I think till now Wardeh and her husband have came back to Canada! But do not worry there are many
applicants from 2010 here who are waiting for a good news. If you are from Jordan like Wardeh then your file is in Amman now. All of the new embassies are in deep silence!

Ok , here is the news from ankara, they had 500 files before the closure of damascus , now they have 2600, average time for the 500 files is 3.5 months,
2100 files from syria..... 1.5 months to determine the status of the files... files over 12 months average processing 0.5 months, files < 12 months 1.5 months, Recipient consistency 80% ( they recieve files/emails and answer to them), protocol of response 50%(they might email you and say your file is here, they might not), Total average time before closure 3.9 months, after closure 7.5,
percentage of applicants = Azerbaijan 0.1 % Georgia 1 % Turkey 5 % Turkmenistan 1% Iran 79%
Total average delay = 4 weeks

I hope this helps my dear friends, i enclosed as much info as i could :D and let me be the first one to say HELLL YEAHHH it looks good :D

Dear Sohrab,

First of all thanks for sharing good new. but I have some doubt about your news.
You mentioned that there will be more than 200 officers working on the files. did you check the building of the Canada embassy in Ankar? do you think 200 officer can even be fit in that building???????? it doesn't seem to be reasonable.

second how many ours per week they are going to work on our files? as you mentioned there are more than 2600 files. you know how long it takes to finilize them?

I wish your concern in true and they are going to finilize more than 2000 files in just 2 or 3 months?!!!!! but if we think just for seconds it's not reasonable.

Regards,

Hi ,I heard from my friend some good news, she is not in this forum and she wait for ppr also, their lawyer make his connections to Amman VO and the information she got that Amman VO are working hard to issue visa in the next month and their work now restricted on the old cases like us who have been waiting more than half a year and they(Amman VO) want to be active and work as fast as possible,I know you guys dont trust lawyers informations, and its look like anesthesia for their clients but she said this lawyer is friend and they trust her very much, I feel happy when I hear that ,its raise the hope in my heart and I want to share this with you

Thanks for sharing. What the lawyer said makes Lot of sense. I think too that even vos want to work fast and finish the cases. I heard alot of things like now they are being trained and not gonna work until ... But hard to believe. I think immigration officers like all of us are employees and at the end of the day they need to report their work and answer to their bosses. Even the vos need to answer to someone and their progress and activitoes are monitored.
So makes alot of sense that they are working hard and not sitting doing nothing
It was the best news in the last a few days

I really hope Beiruts VO is getting some goooood training in today and wasn't only watching the football game :P I am hoping and praying and keeping my positivity for next month to be full of PPR's--if not I have to take a week off in April and go visit my hubbyy! Oh boy do I miss him!!

Btw, Happy leap day everyone :D
