Hello everyone :)

Good news....my husband got his visa from the Beirut office on Jan. 23! There were also others there picking up their visas so don't lose hope! I guess everyone is still unsure if the office is closing but just be patient. Inshallah all of the files will be processed faster if they are transferred, especially those who have been waiting a year or more. I know it's hard but just try to keep busy and the time will pass. Believe me a year passed faster than I expected! Good luck everyone :)

congrats dear, thats great to hear :D i wish you all the best now that this is behind you

no problemmmm my dear friends , my curiosity was at its highest today so yeah i decided to make some calls haha, anyways im glad i was able to clear the air at least a little bit :D

Should my husband redo his medical all by himself? I mean if it wasn't because of all this transfer talks we would have done it right away, but now we really don't know to wait for them or just do it and the doctor will send it to Paris then to Damascus as usual ... Give me your opinions please :) His medicals are expiring in 3 weeks ...

yeah def you should do it, it has nothing to do with closure or transfer or whatever, they end up in paris anyway, once they recieve the green sheet from you they verify digitally with paris to see if the medical was indeed valid, so yeah you should get him to do it, the police+10 check too, it takes about 1 month to 1.5 months for men, it took arghavan almost 3 weeks, so yeah

Hey everyone,
When me and my husband were filling out the application forms, we put my Canadian address as his mailing address, we wrote his residency address as his address in Iran, but we thought maybe it's better if we put the mailing address as my address, just because we didn't trust the post system in Iran.
In e-cas since it always shows "mailing address", the Canadian address was up there ... But this morning that I checked it has changed to his residency address in Iran ... Why? Should I be worried?! :s
Thanks!

I got curious and checked ecas.... my husbands address is gone. such a weird system! They must be working on our files Vivi!!! ;) ;) ;)
I called CIC yesterday and the guy on the phone was so nice. he said that they have received many calls about Syria lately and they have no news that they can release right now but hopefully soon the website will be updated with more info. everyone seems to get lots of different anwers. all I know is I am missing my hubby soooooooo bad this week and some clarity would be appreciated! ;)

Good morning!
Hopefully this week will be a great one!

Vivi Jan,
My medical will expire on Feb 21st and I have no plans in redoing it! Whats all the rush about....I'll think about doing it without any notice from Damascus, if I don't hear anything from them by Feb 15.
I'll give my lawyer a call around Feb 15, asking for his advice. I understand that many ppl r doing this in advance to save time but yet I don't feel the urgency.

Good morning Siavash
I advise you to do your medical dear,
and keep it ,may be they want it before Norooz

It is interesting that address disappearing happened for other applicants of other visa offices too. So maybe it shows that it is not because of Damascus positive activity!

Samira,

Rast migi...I'll do it but first I'll wait a little bit to see how things r working with Damascus. Maybe by mid Feb we hear some news regarding the progress of our files....vaay how difficult is to be patient!

good morning/afternoon/ evening guys and gals

Do u guys know anyone in this forum who had a child before they file for the spousal sponsorship? does that make a difference ( i mean for the marriage being genuine ) ?
I am a CAN citizen, lived in Iran, Tehran for the past 5 years, got married in 2008 , we got a daughter ( 18 months old) who I applied for Canadian citizenship last year and received the Citizenship card last month ;
knowing my situation , would u guys think they'd ask my wife for an interview ?
I know its too early for me to worry about interview but my wife's English is not as u may say in anyways okay to communicate with IMM officer.

My agent has sent the applications to missisuga office on Dec 30,2011 .

hope u guys get your PR's even much sooooooner than sooon
