Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

Hi Geminibella,

I just want to know where your husband stay in damascus. Do they have a motel or hotel near the embassy and how mutch its cost for the night.

Dear mikie the reason my husband went straight to Damascus is because they will issue him the visa within the next day however if he were to send it through courier or go to Beirut it would take a good 4 weeks as Beirut needs to send it to Damascus and what not.

As for the reason why he needs to bring a copy of the email in order to enter the embassy is probably because they don't let anyone in unless their case is done and that shows proof. Otherwise the embassy would be packed with random people all the time lol.

My husband is going back to the embassy in about 1 hour to pick up his visa inshallah will keep you all updated and gooood luckk for today everyone

no hotels near the embassy, closest hotels are in Al Marjah square .

the embassy located on Autostrad Al Mazaa 10 minutes by taxi from al marjah square.

salam coolamir, did you pay for sending and receiving with DHL? my passport in the embassy from last week, and I am still waiting, did they mention in the e-mail that it it takes 4 weeks?

Salam, Yes, i paid 26,000 Toman for both ways and I have to go back to DHL office to pick up my passport. They will call me once its ready. In the email:

You should expect to receive your visa a month after sending your passport by private courier. If you do not receive your passport within 6 weeks you should contact the courier company you choose and the Embassy in Damascus at the E-mail address below.
